Was told it would be a half hour wait. It ended up close to 1 hour. We asked for them to sweep up around our table because there was food and napkins everywhere. The service was a little slow but the restaurant was busy. The food was good and prices were fair but watching people who checked in after our party be seated before us did leave a bad taste.

This used to be one of my all time favorite places to eat, but I am sad to see yet another once homey feeling restaraunt go the route of QR code menus. Navigating the menu was cumbersome even though I was largely familiar with the restaurant from going regularly years earlier. While the food was good, and the woman at the register was perfectly pleasant, I prefer for meals to be an escape from the phone, and the experience lacked the charm and personal touch it once had. I am sad to say that I likely will not be returning.

The food is great. A bit expensive for Mexican food but the portions are large. We eat here occasionally because of the vegan options, which we appreciate. My main complaint is that not only do you have to pay for chips and salsa when it's usually free elsewhere, the bowl is tiny and you don't even get more. It's unusual and we would eat here WAY more often if the chips were free or even refillable if you have to pay for them.

La Tienda Mexicana Las Isabellas is probably the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The food is amazing. Authentic doesn't begin to describe the food and atmosphere they have created over the past 24 years. Family owned and family recipes. Scratch made with fresh ingredients. I promise this food is legit and the atmosphere and people are fantastic. This was the best accidental find to date.

We went to lunch today with friends for the first time! GREAT FOOD! Great taste and the portions were massive. The parking lot is EXTREMELY SMALL! Couldn't fit a Ram 3500 in the lot. The restaurant is unique in the fact that you order your food off of their QR code. You have to walk through their small grocery store to get to the seating/dining area. Less than 5 minutes later your waiter/waitress serves up your food. Again Excellent food!

We came in on a Sunday at noon without a reservation. It was 15 of us and two pets. They were extremely accommodating and were happy to sit us.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is probably the best Mexican food I've tried in NC. Because there was so many of us, I was able to try different dishes. Chilaquliles verdes, Chilaquiles de mole, sopes, menudo, etc. All of it was delicious. The food portions were huge.

The only food I'd say could improve some was the carne asada. It was a bit dry but the other dishes were very very good. Their aguas frescas were the best hands down. I tried the watermelon, lemonade, and horchata. I'm not a big fan of Horchata because it's never made to my standards, but their Horchata is the best I've had in the states.

Being from Mexico, it's always such a treat to be able to find authentic Mexican food. The family who owns the restaurant obviously cares very much for their business. Can't recommend this place enough. I live in Charlotte but am willing to make the drive to visit again.

One of my favorite mexican restaurants in Hickory! Authentic Mexican food and I love the beautiful atmosphere and patio! Highly recommend. You don’t feel like you’re in Hickory. It’s a vibe.

With or without the kids always a fabulous time! But my children love the freedom of eating outside and the great ambiance of this special and unique place!
