Olde Hickory Tap Room is located in Union Square in Downtown Hickory. I dined here on a Sunday so parking was easy as the area wasn't too busy. When I arrived the host immediately sat me at a booth and didn't try to seat me at the bar which tends to be common places. My waitress was as friendly as could be. When in town we love coming here for a Piedmont Pilsner. This visit we shared a Fish and Chips and it was light and flaky. The inside of the restaurant is dark, cozy, and surrounded by a bunch a cute shops in their downtown area.

This is the Best Brewery. Been in business for almost 30yrs. Been going there for years to their Hickory Hops beer festival. The food is great at the Tap Room, Train Station and Pub. Its brought downtown Hickory back!
