Had Reuben. Served without thousand island dressing. It was dry even though it had sourkraut . The server said this is a signature dish. Really... where is the meat? Can you spare some. They raised prices but you get less meat no dressing. NO QUALITY. WONT BE BACK
We stopped in for lunch on our way to Asheville, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was like an old school bar with a lot of old taps on the walls. I had the fish and chips, which were excellent, although the serving size was quite large. We stopped on a Monday so there was no wait and parking was readily available.
This is in a beautiful area of Hickory. There is ample parking and a lovely area to walk around and check out. The beer list is amazing. We enjoyed a Pilsner(5.00) and a nice lager(5.00). The fish was some of the best I have had, a white fish off the coast of Africa. The Ruben had Russian dressing instead of thousand island and was piled high with corned beef.
