The shabby chic decor is really lovely. I had The Burger, which was a double smash burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and I had mayo, mustard, and ranch requested on the side. Soft bun, great taste. I chose fries as a side. They were crinkle cut and crispy with a delicate seasoning I can't quite place. Also very good. I drink a lot of tea and refills came promptly. I have absolutely no complaints.

They have some of the best dinner options available. I got the filet mignon and crispy Brussel sprouts with mashed red potatoes. I have yet to find a steak better than what they serve here at Notions828. Perfect place for a date night as well

Great little restaurant in downtown Hickory. It seemed they were having a busy night, asked for a second drink, server forgot it, no worries. But graciously comp'ed it afterwards tho I didn't need her to. Food is good, and still dreaming of that chocolate cake.

My wife and I finally took a table at Notions and don't regret it at all! Food was delicious, wait staff was attentive and professional, and loved being able to be outside amongst downtown Hickory.
It’s been 2 days and I’m still thinking about the blackened chicken salad, so I thought I needed to give kudos to Notions. I honestly cannot say if I liked the tender chicken, amazing tobacco onions, blue cheese crumbles, or the fresh greens the best. We sat outside because the evening weather was gorgeous and our server was super sweet and courteous. I’m dreaming of going back.

I wish I could remember our servers name. He was great! Atmosphere is nice and cozy. It was a Friday night and a full house which was nice to see! Seems to be a popular spot for locals. Food was also really good. You've got to get the Tempura Cauliflower. It's delicious!
