“The service is wonderful & everyone is so friendly. Most of the food is what you'd expect of a pub, some a little more creative, all absolutely delicious, & portions are very large. The mixed drinks are very well made. Everything is reasonably priced. The ambiance is cool both in & outside. The location is completely unexpected. I lived right up the street from this place for a good while without even knowing it, and the game nights are super fun so we will definitely be making lots of return trips!!“
“Our cousin brought us here for lunch after a morning of shopping. There were 9 of us with 4 of those being kids. I wasn't sure how this would go. We were seated outside downstairs, and there were plenty of things to keep the kids occupied while waiting on the food. The best part was that the kids' food came out first!!! That is a huge thing for parents of young children. After they finished eating, they again played while the adults finished and could easily see the kids playing. Our server was fabulous as well as the food! As an out of towner, I would definitely recommend stopping by.“
“I took my family to Fresh Chef because the food was supposed to be healthy. I wasn't impressed. The pasta had way too much sauce on it & the small amount of kale was mixed into it. The salmon was good & I liked the chef's salad. They don't serve tea & that's my preference for drink so I had lemon water. My granddaughter liked the hamburger. My daughter liked the fresh fries. Might night go back.“

“Plant-Based Boss was out of this world! I almost don’t want to write a review because I don’t want this fantastic secret to get out.I discovered Plant-Based Boss by searching for vegan restaurants in Hickory, NC, fully expecting to see the typical places with one or two vegetarian options. But then! But then Plant-Based Boss popped up, and I wasn’t sure it indeed was what it looked like. The menu mentioned things like spare ribs and chorizo. What?!So, my husband and a couple of friends planned a couple’s date night and drove an hour and a half to try the food. Surprisingly and to our delight, we got so much more than hoped for. The ambiance was fresh and inviting. A charming and friendly lady greeted us and took our orders. She explained the menu, that almost everything was made in-house, including their veggie “meats,” vegan cheeses, and sauces. The offerings included tacos, burritos, boats, and more. And yet, this food was like no tacos, burritos, or boats I’ve ever experienced.When our food arrived, it blew our minds. We were enthralled with our choices. We oohed and aahed at each other’s meal. The flavors were fantastic! I ordered one of the bowls.
