We ate at Harbor One today for the first time. Lucky for us that it was soul food Sunday. Everything was perfect. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly and the food is perfect. I don't eat out much, because most restaurant food disappoints me. I can't remember a time when I left a restaurant wondering when I will return and try something else. We enjoyed our food so much. Thank you. I know great restaurants don't just happen. You clearly care about the food and people. Today you made us happy, thank you again for that.

Our experience at Harbor One was a so so, with the food being the ultimate highlight. We enjoyed a chicken wing dinner (five perfectly fried wings) along with a side of chicken gizzards with rice and gravy, mac and cheese, collard greens, and candied yams.
The wings were seasoned to perfection, 10/10, and the sweet potato cornbread was the absolute showstopper—a truly memorable item. While the mac and cheese was just okay and the gizzards were a bit too salty, the overall meal was an 7/10.
Service was hit-or-miss. The host provided amazing customer service and was very engaged. However, our server, Miss Olivia, lacked attentiveness. We waited roughly 15 minutes just to be asked about drinks, and she seemed to prioritize other tables that arrived after us, which was confusing and delayed our experience. She also offered no recommendations when asked about the menu.

We ordered a large platter of whiting and oysters. The whiting was out of this world! Fantastic coleslaw, homemade hush puppies with corn and onion, so good you don’t want to share! The crinkle cut fries are crispy tasty, reminiscent of those at old time diners. Baked beans not out of the can, tangy and homestyle! The phone order process was very good and done before our expectations. How have I missed Harbor One before? Worth the drive folks!

Sunday was my first time ordering g with Harbor One. I entered and felt comfortable. All tables were full. I looked around at the plates coming out and knew there would be something on the menu that would catch my eye. Now being a country girl, my eyes went straight to the croaker entree. I got my order to go since I wanted to be able to eat my bone in fish in my environment😂. Delicious to the bone!! I had two big croakers in my order! I could only eat one since I had sides. Monday nights dinner in the bag! Yes I will be going back! Great food and customer service and they open your takeout for your approval! Thank you Harbor One for the best croaker I’ve had in a very long time. 5 out of 5💫

Great customer service.. my only complaint was about the pinto beans not being cooked well.. they were seasoned very well but most of the beans were hard.. like beans were added and not cooked enough . But the chicken and yams and greens were very good.

Today for some reason the grits were chunky. Seems like they were old and the fish wasn’t seasoned. I really feel like there was a different cook because this was sooo delicious the first time I got it. Which is why I put 3 stars. The last picture was the first time I got it. Please get the other cook back😩

Local spot, soul food. I've eaten here twice and the food is phenomenal. The whiting is fresh and perfectly crisp. The smoked ribs are deeply flavored and falling off the bone. Mac & cheese may be the best I've eaten. The service is slow however because the food is cooked to order and they are always busy. The space is really small so come early to get a seat. You won't be disappointed.

Place your order now. When they said they serve good food & not fast food… Believe em. Lady told me 30 mins on my order. I’ve waited 2 HOURS. 2 HOURS. I could’ve went back there & made it myself If i knew it would take that long. If you are planning to eat here, just prepare yourself. Order your food the day before or while you’re in church service. Cancel your plans if you have any. The food is good, but not worth waiting all day.

Me and my daughter ate here for the first time today and OMG unbelievable great food very clean great service. Awesome music to vibe to while eating. And not to mention black owned business I'm all in to support 100%. The chef bought out our food presentation amazing every piece of food seasoned with love. I even told him how fantastic the food was❤️ I will definitely be back. Oh and the best Arnold Palmer in the world 🌎.
