Very hospitable and welcoming. We all got some variation of the 2 meat plate. Everything was good, but the brisket and chopped chicken were especially fantastic on the meat front, while the collards and fried okra were standouts on the sides front. Fried (homemade) pickles and Brunswick stew were also lovely. Enjoyed tasting all the sauces because we like them vinegar forward and wet. We asked for the daily special on the board and we got a strange look...The service was a little off but the food was good. The dessert wasn’t brought out with the order and I had to go back up and ask for it twice. It wasn’t busy; we went on a Monday night.
After waiting in line for quite awhile and then being told it would be a 30-minute wait for our food, we thought we knew what we were in for. Unfortunately, it was not 30 minutes for our food. It was almost an HOUR and we had to talk to the server and the host several times to even figure out when we would get served. Apparently, they gave our order to someone else!
