Excellent fresh food… Guacamole and cheese dip was excellent. Chips were fresh. Salsa was good but could be a little spicier. I had fajita nachos and it was filled with nice quality steak , cheese peppers and onions. Highly recommend it. Taco salads were good. Service was friendly but had to request a couple of times. Small place but they also do a lot of takeout, which is a good idea. Local Mexican workers eat here.

We are visiting for the fall and Michelle was the best server she was patient and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed.

Love this place! Great food and service. Servers are all very nice, and the food comes out very quickly. Usually not much of a wait time, but if there is, it is normally only about 15-20 minutes max. Portions are decently sized, and the overall quality of the food is good. It is always fresh, and I have had multiple different things from there. My favorite is the Los Vaqueros Tacos, but many others love their enchiladas. It is a go-to for my family and I, and anytime we are all together, we always go here to grab a bite. The atmosphere is welcoming, and while it is a bit cramped in there, you can still have conversations with people without it being too overwhelming and loud. Food is also fairly priced, especially in relation to other restaurants in Highlands. Overall, a personal favorite of mine. Definitely worth going and giving it a try!

Excellent quality of Mexican food. We had the beef fajitas for two and took about half of it home. Even the free salsa and chips on the table was above the quality of the typical Mexican restaurant

Las Vaqueras is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ate at! Their food is delicious and their staff is always so friendly!! One of the waitresses Michelle is exceptional and always so very nice!! She always goes above and beyond! This restaurant is a must go to!!

This place is a 10/10!!! The staff is very friendly and super accommodating (which was a nice add on especially dining with kids). I didn't get the name of the hostess from Saturday afternoon but she was a sweetheart. Our waiter was attentive, prompt and very polite. The food was fresh and delicious! Everyone in my party was extremely satisfied with their meals and drinks, not one complaint. I would most definitely recommend this place and come back to eat when in the area!

Michelle was my waitress. She was pleasant and happy. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. This is my favorite restaurant and Michelle is a big reason for that.

Visiting Highlands and my wife and I were craving Mexican. We were seated quickly and had a great dinner. You can always tell a good Mexican restaurant when they provide complimentary chips and salsa the second you sit down. Michelle took care of us and I will ask for her again next time we come. 10/10 service!

Michelle was amazing! She always made sure we had what we needed but wasn’t overbearing. She was so sweet to our newborn baby that we brought in and made us feel so special! We got the enchiladas and the tres tacos vaqueros and they were delicious!! The margaritas were awesome and the mix tasted homemade. Highly recommend!
