Los Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant

We’ve been going here a couple years and have always enjoyed it- but this past weekend we took some visiting family there and we were so disappointed. The place was filthy. Our booth in the back corner had several different women’s hair stuck in the gold decorative buttons in the booth cushions. It was huge clumps of hair. I’m trying to eat my food next to clumps of hair! It was so gross.

Also, we were given several bowls of salsa because there were 6 of us and every time she set the bowl of salsa down her thumb was down inside the bowl of salsa. She would literally pull her thumb out and salsa would drip off her thumb and back down into our bowl. 🤢

I can imagine what goes on behind the scenes.

An awesome spot!! The only thing missing is a ceiling fan in the outdoor seating.

Had a delicious, fresh meal here last night. My son had the shrimp soup which was amazing. As good as the food was, was that the service provided to us by Michelle was even better. Can’t wait to go back again.

We've eaten at Los Vaqueros for lunch many times. Great food, great service & great Margaritas!

AMAZING sopa de pollo!

First night in Highlands, and came upon an authentic Mexican restaurant that was fabulous - service and food!

Will definitely return for a repeat, especially since they were kind enough to permit me to practice my Spanish 😂

Moved to Highlands two months ago from Atlanta, and we love this place. Guillermo and the staff are awesome. My favorite entree so far are the pork burritos topped with their homemade salsa verde. Great food. Great people. Great value.

They are amazing from the great wait staff to the awesome food and wow 🤩 the margaritas ! You will not find the authentic Mexican food and drinks anywhere else near by. I go there at least 4 times a week and they are amazing everytime 💕

Stopped in while riding motorcycle. Two of us had the chorizopollo, the street tacos woth chorizo and steak. Everyone was very pleased! The service was excellent! Highly recommend and will return.

We had a very pleasant experience at Los Vaqueros. The host at the front was very polite and they got us seated fairly quickly. The salsa was especially delicious and all the rest of the food was very good. The service was fast and efficient. Highly recommend!
