The Blind Pelican Seafood House

Being from Arkansas, I never thought I would get to try this place. Luckily, my in laws live not too far away in Jacksonville, NC, so I FINALLY got to have one of their extravagant bloody Mary’s. Talk about amazing! Not only are the drinks great, but the food is top tier! They have a huge menu and you can completely customize your Bloody Mary (and it doesn’t even have to be a Bloody Mary). Crab legs, lobster, scallops, oysters, filet mignon, you name it and they can do it! Their atmosphere was great and servers were attentive and had wonderful attitudes/service. Overall, a great experience that I checked off of my bucket list!

Interesting take on a bloody Mary. Food is excellent as is the service. When full the noise level is high and a little uncomfortable.

My husband built his own drink/meal. He had the lobsticity, added 3 frog legs in the Halloween special old fashion, salted caramel with a popcorn ball. I had a poison apple martini and fried shrimp.

Forgot to take pictures, which is a huge shame since their fried oysters are divine! Got both the po boy and the oysters by itself, and I have no regrets. The flavor is like no other, simply incomparable.

Truly an incredible experience. I had never seen so many things coming out of a Bloody Mary as in this place and still not tip over at the table. My wife (my better half) and I had the Medusa. Now keep in mind that there were options with less items and others with more (if you can believe it). If I rember correctly the Medusa included Lobster, Filet Mignon, Crab legs, shrimp, bacon and grille cheese, and of course the bloody mary itself with a giant stalk of celery. We did not know where to start first, but we finished it and it was delicious. You may want to ask for xtra tomato juice as they make their BM's strong. If you are in the area, you have to stop by because it is a culinary experience that is hard to find.
