Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

It was our anniversary. We had a good time laughing at our predicament so it was still a good night. However, the location in Huntersville is not worth the money. We had a reservation at 6:30. We arrived about 45 minutes early. We were asked if we wanted to sit out in the open area, which is fine however, the table they put us at was the worst in the restaurant and it was our anniversary. They put us right behind the whole stand next to the door tons of traffic. And the table was greasy and not clean. Do not order the pasta as the steak is not cooked fresh to order . I had the three course dinner option, which looks great on the menu however, my soup was cold for my starter . My steak was cooked fantastic however, the broccoli was not cooked all the way it was room temp at best and they did not steam it long enough and there was absolutely no flavor no butter or salt and pepper on it. I had my wife taste the mashed potatoes they had Parmesan in them, however they needed to be salted . Not salting mashed potatoes is a common mistake and restaurants so it's not that big of a deal. However we got the dessert to go. It was the banana pudding with the apple slices. It tasted old. It was definitely not cooked the same day. It was probably 3 to 4 days old if I had to guess. Our server was very kind and attentive and even replaced my wife's dish with a burger . The server was very nice. She did a great job. However, if people reserve times on Friday and Saturday night through apps, such as open table, the manager should be aware of all special request. Putting us at that table that was not even clean on our anniversary night when they told us congrats and already knew it was a letdown. Firebirds is very close to my heart as my grandpa took our whole family out to dinner to Firebirds before he moved away, so I've always loved the restaurant. It's always been a special place in my heart however, this location we won't be attending again. 

Great place for a date night or just a family gathering. Excellent food at a reasonable price and a wonderful variety. Everyone has always been very friendly and helpful.

That kind of care goes a long way and shows how much they value their guests. We selected this location because we've been to a Firebirds near our home. The service was okay. We waited for some time for a server, and the manager on duty took notice. He came over to get us water and said our server would be right over; it still took a few minutes. The food was good, not great, and the lemon/blueberry bread pudding dessert was more like a bowl of mush. Perhaps it was an off night, but we've had better at Firebirds in our home city.

I stopped in at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Huntersville during happy hour and tried their bar bites. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was attentive, and the food was flavorful and perfectly portioned for sharing. The free bread made it tough to finish my cheat bites, but the happy hour deals made it an even better experience. Definitely a great spot to relax, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy a drink after a long day. I'll be back!

Excellent service and food!! The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waitress was very attentive.

“Perfect Margarita” and Cosmo w/Titos was VERY heavy on sour mix. Drink pacing was slow. Dinner was good, but not excellent. The pasta dish was overcooked with mushy pasta, both chicken dishes had “stringy, dry chicken”. The prime rib was good, though smaller size than advertised. Steak was excellent. The children's macaroni and cheese was cold, lukewarm at best. For a $250 dinner, ultimately we were not impressed and as a result, Firebirds won't be our first choice for next birthday dinner.

One of our favorite restaurants in the Huntersville area. Great menu and excellent service. We requested a booth and were seated near the kitchen area. Noise was moderate and quite acceptable. I can definitely recommend.

The food and service was outstanding! And there was also a person who walked around and , when appropriate, stopped to ask how everything was and if we needed anything. We also like "no cork fee" for bringing in our own wine. We always add $10-15 additional tip for the service.

Sea bass undercooked and salad was not cold & crisp. Other items (salmon, filet, veggies, mashed potatoes, shrimp dishes) were good. Table was good with adequate separation from others. Noise level moderate and not an issue. Our water and tea were never refilled and service was a little bit slow. The manager tried to keep us informed of slight delay for our meal. It at that point should have asked if we needed refills. We had a good time but aspects of our experience were simply average.

Food and service was excellent enjoyed the cocktails. Even got a birthday surprise but I won't spoil that for you. Will definitely be back!

The food was exceptional Our server was lovely and went the extra mile. Just a great evening—our 46th anniversary. Would totally recommend!

One of our favorite places! Great food, drink, and service. My only complaint is it's always cold in there!
