I have been a constant patron of this hickory tavern for 4 years now since I moved to huntersville. Has been wonderful till the last few months with the new manager. Michael has been extremely rude in front of me personally 3 times now. Never have had a problem requesting a tv turned to a specific game. Tonight I ask for UFC to be put on a tv which is free not a ppv. Elaina has always been awesome and helped me with the tv whenever I ask because she has been awesome!! The reason I come back and the new manager Michael came over and immediately said “we don’t show ufc” not knowing it’s not a ppv, so he completely embarrasses her in front of me when she was putting it on the tv, so she knows she can put it on and did for me after he walked away! she puts in on two TVs which was awesome the main event was just coming on! Then he switched the certain tv that was switched to ufc to a fcs football game that nobody requested and embarrassed her and me for requesting a sport bar to put on a certain sport! Extremely unhappy and will never be coming back specially because of that! I always love watching late night ufc here with the regulars and he has completely ruined the environment. No explanation whatsoever

Our Spyder group had our board meeting. Met during the week. Not busy which made it easy to talk and enjoy ourselves. Food was great.

Michael went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Will definitely make this our regular place to watch Sunday football and eat!

I placed an order at 6:45 for pickup at 7:30 for my family.
I get to the restaurant and watched 10 bartenders and wait staff walk by me without asking if they could help me. Finally after I flagged down a bartender, I had to wait 15 extra minutes for my food.
Then, I get home and the charred hot wings I ordered have absolutely so seasoning on them. There was hot sauce in a small container, however that’s the purpose of charring the wings! UGHHH
The BYO salad was missing almonds.
And then, when I was placing the order on line, I was excited to see they brought back the turkey melt on toasted sour dough bread. That was the description on the on-line menu only to open the box and find a wrap! Which was absolutely disgusting.
My daughter’s Ruben was decent, but paid an extra $1.99 for 5 sweet potatoes fries, which was a “Premium side”.
Hickory Tavern-Huntersville gets a big fat “F” grade from me. Sad to say because the place used to be awesome but over the past 2 years they have tumbled downhill head first!
What a joke. I think I would’ve enjoyed catching $75 on fire better than our dinner.

One of the worst dining experiences ever! Do not go to Birkdale location!!!!! Ordered chicken sandwich with fries and spicy ranch dipping sauce. Daughter ordered same but just ranch dipping sauce. Her meal came out fine but mine had about 7 1 inch fries. Server said sorry about fries I will bring a plate because this is not the correct amount. I said ok. Well we both finished our meals and still no fries. Server finally came back to check on us to see if we wanted more to drink and I let her know I didn’t get the fries she said “my fault would you like them to go”? I said no and she said but you are paying for them. Anyway she brought some out about 5 minutes later then the bill. So I was charged the entire amount with additional $0.50 for spicy ranch sauce. She never told me there was an extra charge. Manager NEVER came to our table but he sure came to the 8 top behind us. He stood watching all the sports on TV. Pathetic. It is the little things that matter or in this case the basics. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant, ever and suggest you don’t either.

Hickory Tavern is great whether they're watching a football game or bring the kids in for lunch. Very friendly staff I've never had a bad experience.

Had a great experience, our server Aniya was so polite and welcoming. Our order was correct and the food came out fast. I had the pleasure to speak with the Manager Michael, as I had to let him know that his server was top notch and he also was polite and welcoming. My husband and I will definitely be back. Great job Hickory Tavern!

The manager, Michael, assisted me as I walked in with my husband's birthday cake. He said he would refrigerate it until we needed it. When I asked for it, he brought plates, spoons, napkins, knife and server for me to serve to my guests.
Anya was our waitress. There were 12 of us and she brought everything we needed throughout the whole time we were there.
My guests and I frequent this restaurant often. Kudos to them.

Had lunch this week and wanted to get a blackened fish sandwich. Unfortunately, HT does not specifically offer that on the menu. However, the bartender, Katie, made it happen and it was delicious! Kudos to chef Paola and team for making my visit worthwhile.

I'm a regular here and it can be a little hit and miss. I only go at lunch because if you want to go out with friends for the evening and aren't into eardrum crushing music and blaring TV's that make conversation impossible, then it's best to get in and out before 5 or 6 pm. Service is almost always solid and the food is quite good. I particularly like their build-your-own-salad option.

Hickory Tavern is always a delight. Lauren, Stephanie and Alayna are angels and always make it worth it! Make sure to ask for Alayna or Stephanie next time you stop by!

Editing to say how wonderful it is to see leadership on the floor interacting with customers. Helping wait staff and just being so welcoming. Makes HT the best place to be!
