La Unica Mexican Restaurant Indian Trail

My wife and I had dinner at La Unica Mexican Restaurant tonight in Indian Trail NC . If you haven’t been in a while you need to go check them out ! The food was fantastic! I had three tacos ,rice and beans , and my wife had fish tacos . They were delicious ! Also they have remodeled the restaurant and it looks fantastic ! Very clean and modern! The new manager is doing a wonderful job and it shows !

The food was absolutely incredible. We have a la Unica in Huntersville but we were in Indian trail for a friend's funeral. It was completely different than our location in the best way. The food was freshly made, the meat was tender and juicy. The pico was was perfect. The servicer was nice and helpful. Y'all need to go help our location get their stuff together since I know it can be that good.

Best Mexican in Indian Trail! The best secret is the green sauce. You have to ask for it, but it’s unbelievable guacamole sauce!

We have been here multiple times. It used to be so good. Today it was horrible. We order a dip and it never came the waiter forgot. Then one of family members was the last person to get food and basically everyone was already done by the time they got it. We then asked 4 people for shells. Finally on the fifth person we got them. The waiter basically forgot about us. The food looked like it was under the hot lamps for a long time. The manager was nice to fix everything just was a real bummer.

Seems like management has changed I’ve been here hundreds of times and always ordered the same meal. It doesn’t even taste the same. They used to bring out a bunch of salsa now they bring out a tiny one and when I asked them to bring out a few they never did. They had money to remodel the place but are gonna lose a lot of customers.

I'm not going to tell anyone what I got because I'm not taking a chance they sell out! What I will tell you is all the food me and my husband had was great with 1 exception and that was the Sopaipillas, we like them puffy they were flat and there was only a few. I had been searching for a good authentic Mexican restaurant for almost 3 years because I am originally from Cali and I know good authentic Mexican food.

Used to be a super quaint and familial place to go, had a unique atmosphere and super friendly waiters who would address you by name + affordable but good food. Prices have gone up, service quality and food quality has gone down. Waitress took plates without asking if we were finished, and was not attentive or friendly either. Food was mediocre.

The food is fantastic. Service is great. My only complaint is the price of tacos. $4.50 per is a but much but they are good. Note they do have 1/2 off taco Tuesday.

If you don’t tip on takeout orders your food will come cold, absurd.

Food has changed and has a decrease in flavor. Very bland. New decor and upgraded look.
