I wish there was an in between rating. From out of town -went there several times the last 2 visits. This time went with my daughter and son in law who is soon to be 23. Was there around 930 pm ordered food . The waitress got the order wrong. 10 mins later after the food order was supposed to be fixed the manager and waitress come up and apologize but also say they will have to place the order to go because no one under 21 is allowed after 10pm . Yes we stayed and ate the food but Never once asked for an ID or age and also said if someone doesn’t order alcohol they must be under 21. We were not happy . Yes , he looks like he is 12 but don’t assume anything, ask for an ID next time and don’t assume just because someone doesn’t drink that they are not old enough.

So before I write my review I just want to note that I have ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the angry ginger. But this last visit was enough for me to be upset. I had gone ahead of time to approve if my service husky could come in and they said yes. it’s a seat yourself restaurant so when I came in, we found a seat in the corner tucked away where our pup was under the table. We waited for 20 minutes, waiting for someone to even acknowledge us and no one ever did. The servers looked at us, walked past us and did not even say anything. We walked up and took our business elsewhere.

Delicious Irish food! We ordered drinks and dinner. The Guinness was poured properly and the special wine cooler that I had was very summery and refreshing. Since it was hot as Hades in July, we enjoyed our drinks immensely! We ordered Cottage Pie and Bangers and Mash. Everything tasted just the way Irish food should. It was our favorite meal that we had in Jacksonville.

Simple Irish fare. Good stuff and reasonably priced.

As the only colored guy in the room felt overlooked & unrecognized no type of interaction as a customer not surprised living in Jacksonville NC I love the restaurant as the place it is but the customer service is trash

This place has really gone downhill. After this last St. Patrick's Day, I doubt I'll be back. Seriously, a stand up comedian and a shuffleboard contest? I guess the days of the Tan and Sober Gentlemen are over. After DJ Donna retired, this place has become an old folks home.

When the hangry hit this place was a 10. Fun atmosphere with Irish live music and great food. Bartender was 10 plus service with a smile. Would highly recommend!

1st time diners at Angry Ginger.
Our server was wonderful.
Appetizer (boneless wings) were good.
Atmosphere was nice.
Food: I had the Blarney Stone meal which was pretty good. My husband had the stuffed salmon which was very under seasoned. My son had the ribeye. Flavor was good, but very over cooked (ordered medium rare, served medium-medium well) . Biggest disappointment was the lava cake we ordered to go. We waited 20+ minutes to receive it, and when we got home (10 minutes later) opened it up to find the top of the cake was burnt and the rest was dry with no gooey center. 🫤

This use to be my spot but this is probably going to be my last time comin here for awhile the short lady at the bar cut me off when i didnt even have that much to drink. The bartenders her have 0 personality compared to other bars ive been to. I think she was just being lazy and didnt want to make anymore drinks.

Came here last night and the older blonde hair lady was very rude. Was only there for 5 mins and asked her a simple question and she was freaking out. I asked what light beers they have on tap and she couldn't answer the question her tone and body language was very unwelcoming. If she can't handle the bar or answer simple questions she needs to find a different job.

The pretzel bites appetizer was very filling (there were way more than the photo I posted) and the cheese with it is good! A fun kick of spice in it. The pretzels were doused in butter though and it was dripping, almost soggy so keep that in mind if you don't prefer that. All the drinks we ordered were made well and delicious. Our waitress checked on us multiple times and was so sweet, she took really good care of us! We ordered the Cottage Pie and Guinness Shepards pie and both were delicious and very fulfilling especially on such a cold day! The atmosphere was extremely loud and it was hard to hear eachother at the table sometimes. The karaoke was too loud, causing everyone to talk much louder so we were all talking over eachother and shouldn't be difficult to hear someone directly across from me but even though it was packed with people the staff did an awesome job taking care of everyone quickly and efficiently.

Had lunch today and was very disappointed. The grilled chicken on my salad was barely lukewarm and had little flavor. The fish and chips seemed like it was pulled too soon so the fish had a lot of water in it and had a strong fishy taste you should not get from cod. I'm assuming that the grease is old because even the french fries had a strange smell to them. A good 80% of our food went uneaten and not once did the waitress ask if there was an issue. I used to love this place but doubt that I will ever return after today.

I went here once with my rugby team for lunch, and I will definitely say the service was very spot on the environment is very clean. The staff is very friendly and understandable when it comes to large orders and large groups of people their food is really good and serves a really good quality burger.
