My first time at Duck bar and grille. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Our waitress, Christine was amazing and she was very overwhelmed with customers. She handled everything so well. The chefs there are awesome. I had the best shrimp scampi there that I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Keep up the great job !

The duck, the lamb, and the risotto. Yum, yum and YUM! Prepared perfectly, and every bite, delicious.

We just paid over $200.00 for a meal we could have gotten at a Denny's for less than $50.00. The selection on the buffet was limited with inexpensive choices but was priced at $40.00 per person. The Easter desserts looked like they were put on the dessert table directly from the packaging from a grocery store. The Bloody Mary bar was basic and over priced. This experience was a majordisappointment and wish we had gone to a chain restaurant instead. The floor was filthy and the bartenders were arguing and cussing in loud voices well within our earshot. Terrible value for money.

First time coming here and it was an amazing experience. The place looks very fancy looking and had good costumer service . Food is pricey but it's definitely worth the money as it taste really good .

This review of 5 stars is given because the restaurant is in Jacksonville . In Wilmington, it would be a 3.5 or 4. But...for being in J-Ville, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience! This is definitely the best (and only) upper casual American food dining in the town. The outside has a patio that was definitely run down and looked very used. When you walk in, there is a nice bar area to the left. Classy but casual. The actual dining room is very nicely decorated with adorable booths and nice dim lighting. On the other side is a "bar". Something typical for the area. There were people eating in there but it was very dive barish. This is the section that led to the bar patio out front. Our server was great! Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. Menu consisted of steaks, lamb, seafood, pastas, and some great apps. Steaks are pricey around $50. I was not very hungry or I would have ordered the lamb chops. They looked amazing. I started with a delicious spicy Bloody Mary. My friend had the fried green tomato appetizer and she enjoyed it very much. I had a small house salad with homemade ranch. The salad was plentiful and had a great taste. My friend had the salmon over rice and spinach and she loved it. It looked fantastic! I had the sesame tuna app as my meal. It was also very good. I will definitely be back again and I do recommend this place for a more fine dining experience for the area.

The ‘nicest’ place in town for fine dining. Very overpriced, not worth it in our opinion. The cocktails are nothing great, and the food is very standard. We are from New York and if you are looking for an actual fine dining experience, take the drive to Wilmington - there will be more fine dining options that are worth it. Persimmons or Cypress Hall in New Bern are better options instead of Ducks if you are looking for something more upscale.

I loved this place, but I'm from Hartford CT, and it reminds me of home. Wine was not that good, but you may like it. The food wasso good! I'll definitely be back next trip to Jacksonville.

This is a surprisingly upscale restaurant. I was expecting a sports bar when I was walking in. The food was good, the decor on the wall was pretty cool, overall no complaints other than the price of everything.

Always a pleasure to dine. The food is always great. I love how intimate the restaurant is that allow the wife and I to have a date night.

I was served rotten, black lettuce that was turning to slime three times over the course of one meal. First it was the house salad which was replaced with fresh lettuce. Second it was the lettuce on my Swiss mushroom burger which was replaced with more rotten lettuce. I don't know what's going on in the kitchen but it's utterly inexcusable to serve your guests produce that is decomposing into black slime.

Love the rustic look. Strange location but awesome food, the fish was cooked perfectly! Quick service. Waiter didn’t let us finish sentences guess she’s been doing it so long she knew what we would say but wasn’t awful service. Asked for a dessert menu and showed us options, I loved that!

Ok, first and foremost, Stephanie is a spectacular human being and I hope I can befriend her when I move here. Secondly, the food, drinks and service are phenomenal. My husband and I were thinking this was more of a hole in the wall spot, but it’s gorgeous in the eating area and there is a bar area for more casual dining. I was in leggings so there is no strict dress code, but we will 100% be back. This is absolutely a hidden gem in Jacksonville. Did I mention bottomless mimosas are a thing on Sundays? You will see us on Sunday. You have a repeat customer for sure. #countyourblessings
