First time there while visiting a Marine buddy in Jacksonville, NC. He chose the location and what a PERFECT Choice! The Food & Service were GREAT! Cozy place and DIANE, our server did a WONDERFUL JOB! Highly Recommended and I'll be sure to return when back in town!
The treatment of some staff members. Cussing at them in front of customers and wanting them to stay in the kitchen and not socialize with others. Knowing the manager personally. I'm somewhat not surprised. Do better Billy.
The service was certainly very good (waitress actually brought a whole pitcher of iced tea for me). The atmosphere is pleasant - locals gathering familiarly for breakfast and coffee. And my eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and biscuits were okay; but nothing rose above middling. In fact I was a bit disappointed in the much-praised biscuits. They weren't particularly fluffy and no taller than 3/4" risen. And served with imitation butter tubs which didn't help their cause....
