My family just went here for dinner and it was really good! Fair price, great service, and really large portions! I brought home just as much as I ate! The server was great, attentive, and super nice! I think I found my new favorite places in town for Mexican food.

Plaza Del Mariachi is a must-stop eatery in downtown Kinston. The food is consistently delicious, amazing, and superb, with large portions at a fair price. For starters, the choriqueso is one of the best, and the guacamole is also exceptional. For an entree, the beef chimichanga is a frequent choice, and the fajitas are delicious. The scallop and bacon tacos are a unique choice you have to try. The beef could be better seasoned, but the condiments make up for it. Service is always welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Food is delivered quickly and piping hot. The atmosphere doesn't feel busy even during the dinner rush, and the decor gives you nothing but happy feels. It is reasonably quiet around lunch time and great for small groups or a date night. The only tiny downside is the huge racket the employees make when celebrating someone's birthday. Overall, it is highly recommended.
