“We were so glad we found this treasure! Sophistication in nature is nice to come by. A beautiful three story log cabin in a wonderful setting with the rippling water in Lynch Creek as your mood music. The food and service is flawless along with the extraordinarily nice patrons. We have met and made friends with so many talented people here. Best thought of all though, is at the whole time you are helping to support a non-profit organization that is doing such a wonderful job of providing for the people in the area.”

“Ate there before leaving for home to Knoxville, TN. Being vegetarians, we only had one choice, but it was the best egg sandwich we’ve ever had! My meat eating daughter and grandchildren loved their sandwiches as well. Sure wish there was a food truck in Knoxville like this!”

“We came in after church March 22, 2026, from Petersburg, VA and we enjoyed it. From driving up the young man in the parking lot directing us was so very NICE and when we got inside EVERYONE was extremely nice and helpful. They came to our table and asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. We felt right at home even (I'm assuming the owner came out and spoke) The FOOD OMG was over the top DELICIOUS!!!!! Idolina was our amazing server. She was so pleasant to talk to, gave great recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed. I had the Birria appetizer for a meal, which was shared with my fiance and I brought enough home for lunch the next day. This will definitely be my go to there, it was delicious!”

“New to this area about 16 months now my wife found Sugar Grinders in Franklinton and surprised me with a German chocolate cake. Now let me tell how much I like German chocolate. I have always loved that flavor so much that my mom used to make me one as a kid every year for my birthday. Didn’t get one very often because they are so involved to make and not many people in my family like coconut I know go figure? Anyway can’t begin to tell you how great that cake is/was. When she wouldn’t tell me how much it cost I knew this was the real deal probably a dozen eggs involved and can’t imagine what else. When half the cake was gone she put it in the freezer to keep me away from it. On Thanksgiving she pulled it out to go with the other deserts and as I zeroed in on it I could tell it had not lost any of the delicious taste it had before it was frozen. To end this long post let me just say thank you to the Sugar Grinders bakers for letting me enjoy the best German chocolate cake I have ever had can’t wait to go there myself and sample all the other goodies I know they must have. A big “thank you” to the Sugar Grinders Creamery and Bakery!”

“Went there for the 1st time today with friends we had been going to MacD's for breakfast once a week but the new high melanin mgr has destroyed it! 2 weeks in a row they had NO drinks thats right no drinks except water and orange juice so it was time to move on. Well I want to thank the new high melanin mgr because Sunshine is head above what they ever were so thanks for running us off we found a REAL GOOD place to have breakfast! The biscuits are large and very good so eat here forget the others in the area this is the place.”

“Good ole southern food , fried , seasoned , and cooked with love. This is happy food , healthy is not here. However you will leave feeling like you just ate at grandmas , be prepare to take a nap after a meal from Johnnys . The bbq is very good , nothing like NC bbq done the right way . The hush puppies are always hot and delicious. The sweet tea is dark and sweet like southern iced tea was intended to be . This place is the real deal!”
