Service was good, but honestly, the bar-be- cue food wasn't nowhere near like the barbecue from Rocky Mount or Raleigh Durham. The coleslaw and Brunswick stew tasted like out of a can or Walmart made. I'll never come back. This place lacks soulfood barbecue cooking, and sides need flavoring, seasoned
I initially saw their sign posted at a Halloween event they were sponsoring in harbinger- so glad I tried this place out! Food was delicious and service was great! Will definitely be going back!

The Outer Banks Beach Club held a bbq to celebrate 40 years of service. High Cotton catered the event and the food was awesome! They have the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten and the bbq sandwiches were wonderful! I’ll dine here every time I visit the Outer Banks. Thank you for the awesome lunch! 👍

Great prices and they allow substitutions. Food came out in 3 minutes after ordering. Floors were sticky, and food just mediocre, although the side salad was very good.

Spent the weekend in Kitty Hawk and stopped in to try other BBQ in the area. Location was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not a fan of the stew but everything else was pretty good. Hushpuppies were a bit overcooked but I'm sure they are fine other times. The little cups of sauces are barely half full, so ask for extra.

Great BBQ. We had the pulled pork and the brisket. They were wonderful. The sauce on the brisket was delicious and truly unique. Also be sure to try the Brunswick stew, you wont regret it. You definitely need to go and try. The people here are super friendly and the service is phenomenal.

Walked in and were immediately greated. When have been here several times in the past and knew the food and service were great.
We were sat and a friendly server came over to take our orders. Mom and I got the Brisket platters and dad got Ribs.
It was my first time having the Brisket and I've been to Texas and had Brisket there. But I've never gotten Brisket so moist and tender as at High Cotton. The sauce was also delicious.
Mom cleaned her plate and I decided to save some for later as did dad with his Ribs.
We will most likely return before we leave to get this amazing experience from the service to the amazing food.
If you come visit the OBX it's 100% worth the stop.
