Josephine's Sicilian Kitchen

Just had dinner at Josephine’s and it was delicious, plentiful, with a well servicing staff. While their menu was very limited, it was well chosen and prepared with flavor. Portions are very large - great for sharing. Warm bread with an olive oil & pesto was served gratis. Really enjoyed our meal and evening. Too bad we live many miles from the restaurant.

We recently visited for our second time and everything was just as good. Friendly and attentive service even though it was very busy. We had one of the specials which was well prepared with flavorful bolognese sauce , sausage and raviolis. Prices are quite reasonable.

Very busy restaurant. Good service. Prices decent. Chicken parm was large and good. Veal specialty was very good. Large portions. Wine prices very reasonable. Will return.

Food may be great but if they won’t answer the phone to take an order, 4 days effort. Then show up in person and will not take your order…. What good is it?

We ate here for the last night of our vacation on 9/14/24. It was such a huge disappointment. While the estimated wait time was spot on and expected, our wait of 70 minutes for our food was not! Our server was very nice and apologetic. The manager or owner (woman who was the hostess and appeared to be in charge) just gave excuses and never apologized. We ended up getting our dinner to-go, as the restaurant was extremely loud and the environment was not enjoyable. The food was just average, not at all worth the wait or the money. As longtime OBX vacationers, we would not recommend or go back. There are too many other exceptional restaurants to patronize.

Waited 3 hours for table. When seated took 10 minutes for waitress to attend table. Waitress was very rude. We left before ordering… after a 3 hour wait where the hostess was seating parties ahead of us!

The only place to go when visiting the area for authentic Italian home cooking! The service is great, the food is fantastic. Just bring your appetite because the portions are generous.
