We hired Pok as our personal chef for a week in the OBX after our wedding, and we cannot say enough amazing things about him. From the very beginning, he took the time to curate a thoughtful, customized menu with us, listening to our ideas, offering suggestions, and creating something that truly reflected our family’s tastes. It set the tone for an incredible week.
Every dish he prepared was thoughtful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Our family and friends were blown away by his flavors and presentations, and we found ourselves excited for each meal as a highlight of the day.
Beyond the food, Pok’s presence made our week so special. He was warm, kind, easy to be around, and genuinely invested in making our experience unforgettable. He quickly became part of our family, and his energy brought so much joy to our time together.
By the end of the week, saying goodbye felt like saying goodbye to a friend. If you’re considering hiring Pok, do it. It was one of the best decisions we made for our trip, and we’re already dreaming about the next time we get to enjoy his cooking. Highly, highly recommended!

Having Chef Pok cook for us was an absolute delight! Every dish was incredible, and he went above and beyond to accommodate my celiac needs. Enjoying a gluten-free dumpling that tasted that good was such a treat! It was also a pleasure chatting with him and his wife, Sara — their stories about OBX made the evening even more special.

I'm glad I ordered wonton soup with my pad thai. The soup was 9 of 10 stars. But the pad thai? It only slightly resembles pad thai in that the noodles and peanuts are there. But where's the sauce? Where's the flavor? Why are there random ingredients that are generally not seen in pad thai?
Pad thai is a comfort food for me, and this was the opposite of that.
Overall, it was a disappointing meal. I'd get the soup again, but the pad thai was the worst I've ever had.

The food at Poks is TO DIE FOR!!!! I’ve ordered Pad Thai the past few times I have come in and it never disappoints. As a gluten free vegetarian they are supper accommodating to my preferences. I would dip my first born child in the peanut sauce. I put peanut sauce on EVERYTHING! If they ever sell it in bottles I am the first investor!!! Second up to peanut sause is pad Thai, spring rolls, fresh rolls, and seaweed!!!! The service is 10/10. The food is over the top but it is the personable experience I got from the cooks and delivery driver that made this my favorite go to. The delivery driver gets its to you at the speed of light, never have I waited more then 30 minutes and the food is always hot! I make sure to tip above and beyond because they have blown the 20% standard out of this world. You would be a lucky woman to have this staff serve you.

The people were real nice that’s where it ended. The food was absolutely as terrible as it could be. We ordered a Poke bowl Which barely had any food in it at all, the tuna was decent, but there wasn’t much to it for the price, However, it was good. We also ordered general TAO’s Chicken. It was the absolute worst I’ve ever had. The chicken was terribly overcooked and hardly any sauce. I asked for brown rice. They put white rice in it. This was a to go order. The lady was nice and asked us to please come back again tomorrow, but I can see why she was asking for business. The food is terrible overall. I definitely would not go back. I was surprised when I seen the reviews were as good as they were, not sure why with this type of poor quality food. There’s not hardly any place to dine at this location so you would definitely want to use this as a to go order only.
