The service was great, and the food was fine. Because it was off season, the lunch menu was limited. The views of the lake are very relaxing.
I was disappointed in our meal at the Greystone Inn. Although there was only one other couple there, we were seated by a window that had a broken seal that ruined the beautiful view. I should've asked to be moved, so I was partially at fault. The cornbread was delicious and would've been better if the butter was softened prior to serving. The beet salad was good. I got the pork tenderloin which I ordered medium, but it was served well done. The halibut that my husband had was much better. Overall I'm not sure if we will return for another visit. Our waitress was nice and did a good job.
Our server, Rachel was amazing. The food was very good, but I like restaurants that at least serve bread if not offering a soup/salad with the meal. We ordered soup, and it was very good, but again, make me feel like I am getting a little something more for my $12 soup and $49 entree.
We enjoyed the beautifully appointed restaurant. Food was good, not great. Sadly the coffee wasn't hot.
Nice place for breakfast. Service was excellent. The view of the lake is wonderful. Food was good.
Food was good but the service was almost non-existent! Waiter took the order and never came back....
Very enjoyable experience at The Restaurant at The Greystone. Beautiful setting for a restaurant next to the lake and it is set up to be a peaceful dining experience with tables spaced appropriately so it doesn't get too loud. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. When she described the specials, three of our group of four ended up ordering the special entree. It was amazing!! We will definitely return here when we get back to the area. Highly recommend!
We went to Greystone for a birthday and everyone's meal was fantastic! We will be back for sure!
Our dinner at Greystone Inn was less than we had expected. A reservation was made several weeks in advance for a window table for two ...a significant birthday and anniversary occasion. We were assured in writing that it would be absolutely no problem. Upon arrival we were told there were no window tables available. Rather than make a scene, I quietly acquiesced, but was not happy. The service was abominable...we waited patiently for 20 minutes to be acknowledged after being seated, another 10 minutes for water and another 10 to order wine. It became clear that the regular Lake Toxaway residents were given preferred treatment, while the one off guests were ignored. People seated well after us were hovered upon with dedicated attention while we were ignored. The food was mixed...the house salad was average a bit dry and uninspired. However the pan corn bread was just amazingly delicious as well as was the risotto, and Brussel sprouts. ..truly fantastic flavors and textures. Being in the business I asked our server if they normally ran the front with 2 servers. She admitted they were down one server and the bartender did not show, it was also her first day back and the menu had changed. A final item perhaps unique to us, but we felt it was a bit out of decorum to refer to my wife as “honey” ...more of a Waffle House vibe we thought. So...maybe we had a bad night...clearly the food is special, but what separates a good restaurant from a great one is they rarely have bad nights.
We made reservations for our anniversary dinner. The server was attentive and friendly. She gave great advice when choosing between the crème brûlée and the strawberry and rhubarb cobbler. My filet was cooked how I asked for it and the flavor was amazing. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful lunch at the Greystone. We have a vacation residence nearby and have been to the Greystone several times over the past few years and we are never disappointed. The food was excellent once again and the service was prompt , friendly and efficient. The view is spectacular! The Greystone is a little expensive but we think worth the trip. We will be back.
Food was delicious....everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was courteous and timely. Will go back!
Another fabulous evening and delicious meal at the Greystone. The stuffed salmon was perfectly cooked and was absolutely delicious!
Excellent dining experience. Lake views are beautiful, food is delicious and all staff are welcoming. Highly recommend!
Food quality and drinks were far from ideal. Chicken Milanese was soggy and poorly prepared, salad full of oil, cocktails overly sweet, burgers over cooked. The service was extremely slow. Took more than 30 minutes just to bring our drinks. Very disappointed.
