We ordered takeout and when we got home my meal was missing all of the meat. I only got sides. I called to tell them and their reaction was “ok”. I had just got home, didn’t want to go back out, and by the time I did everything else would be cold so I asked for a refund and received the same response. No apology, they couldn’t care less. So I ate macaroni and cheese and hush puppies and cobbler for dinner. We had eaten here only once before and it was not good but they had just opened so we thought we would give it another chance. Hush puppies were average, typical frozen and fried, had corn in it. Macaroni and cheese was awful, just noodles and sauce with no flavor, tasted like an off brand in a can. Cobbler was also probably frozen, no spice or flavor, apples were cooked well, topping was dry and rubbery. Will certainly never return. It’s a shame because a nice bbq place in Leland would be awesome but they don’t care about their food or customers.

Can you say, "OMG!" Where do I start?! The mac-n-cheese was delicious. Seasoned well. The hush puppies had corn inside which made the extra texture, and all blended well. I'm not a hush puppy girl but those.. I would eat all day! The Brunswick stew was good. I would have liked the stew to be more thicker but the flavors came through for me. My family and I will return to try more items next time we're in the area.

Well, it’s been a roller coaster with this restaurant but last night is our last meal. 4weeks ago they ran out of wings, approximately 2 weeks ago on a Saturday a young cashier came from the kitchen screaming that it would be one hour to two hour wait. Now last night my husband wanted to give them another try, I said let’s go somewhere else but he was persistant. We spent $49 for cold food and the chopped bbq was so bad he couldn’t eat it. I told if a good manager would have come out and saw the uneaten food and said something but it seems the manager was the one cooking…

Waited 40 minutes for brisket nobody could chew, under done macaroni (hard and chewy) and chicken that turned to literal smoke dust when you chewed it. Sauces aren’t even authentic, please save your money. This was awful!

The BBQ was dry. The chicken was dry like it had sat too long. Hardly any service, but the girl we had did ok. The atmosphere was so so.
We noticed this place as we were passing by and spontaneously decided to give it a try. As a brisket enthusiast, I must say, they exceeded our expectations. The brisket was superb—tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I also highly recommend their collard greens. While everything was enjoyable, the brisket and greens stole the show for me. The atmosphere felt like family, the service was excellent, and the praise and worship music added a refreshing touch. This spot is definitely a must-visit for us when we return to the area.

Went to smoke house today 2/28/24 and walked in to order my lunch. The restaurant was full only 2 people prepping food in the back. 1 teenager taking orders at desk just taking her time. People sitting at tables haven’t been helped. There was no sweet tea or unsweetened tea available. People forced to drink fountain drinks.There was a line out the door and most left because the restaurant wasn’t staff appropriately to serve customers. Ask to talk to manager and was told she was on break. We had a party of 6 and just left and went next door to Chicken salad chick which they are fully staffed and don’t ignore customers. No wonder this restaurant never has customers. Leland has the worst restaurants and staff. They all have attitudes and hate their jobs. Will not be going back to Smoke House. You can’t get anyone to do something about the poor restaurant management here in Leland and we as customers are forced to write reviews because no one cares anymore. You can take our money but give poor service and attitudes and excuses.

Food took OVER an hour to come out, and then arrived cold. never saw another staff member after that. I understand being busy but there’s no reason that they couldn’t have been prepared for a Saturday night. Will not return if we experience the same again.
