I own Hardin Fence and Repair and when me and my guys are in Lexington we eat at char's!!! When im Lexington doing Fence estimates I stop in everytime and eat at Char's. We love this place good food at a good price which is hard to find thesedays.

Hot dogs were very bland...could not taste the dog and barely could the toppings(chilli, mustard, onions, slaw). Feom an establishment being named Char, I expected my weiner to have some char on it yet it barely felt cooked or warm!! Fries and cherry drink were great. Prices excellent!! Footlong and regular sog combo's for $17!! I would try their burger...in hopes it has a lil char on it!

I've been coming to Char's for close to 40 years. This place used to be so good and the service was always at least decent. I went on 2/28/26 and it was the worst experience. Food was awful order was insanely wrong, not even close. Just a bunch of kids that don't care working there. Will never go back.

I've been eating here since I was a little kid and still love to eat there today you can get pretty much anything you want including ice cream which are my favorite especially strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream if you are looking for a place to chill out with friends and family then Char's is the right place for the atmosphere I know each day I drive by they are slammed packed Char's Hamburgers is the best place for dinner and dessert come eat and leave with a smile and great food to talk about on the way home

So for the 2nd time I have visited I sat at the speaker with no one asking for my order as the 2 cars ahead of me get their order and go leaving the drivethru window empty now...so now cars are backing up behind me into the road so I just drive to the window to try and get service and then I hear them asking the car behind me their order instead of helping me. Last time Ill bother
One of my favorite places in Lexington, amazing food for amazing prices. My favorites are the fish filet and the grilled cheese, everything I've tried from here is amazing, other than the soup which was cambells. Absolutely love this place though! Will be back a million times. Try the hush puppies too!
