The food was great, the waitress was bilingual and the atmosphere was good enough for several local families to eat there.

I ordered shrimp quesadillas, and the shrimp were NOT the chintzy salad shrimp that some restaurants use. They were good-sized, grilled, and yummy.
Definitely recommend!

I’ve ate here for years and each visit got worse and worse. One of the waitresses made a drink the wrong way for me and we corrected it…ever since I’ve been treated so disrespectfully every time I eat there again. I eventually stopped dinning in and just made call in orders to avoid the nasty looks and unfair treatment…even then I would run into problems with my food and when I would try to correct it they would give me such a hard time. If you want Mexican food in Lexington please go to mi casa or mi cancun this place has horrible customer service!!

Food was overcooked just ask for steak to be took off acp cause it was crispy and asked to be charger for chicken the manger was extremely rude !
I ordered a SIDE of broccoli a side , was charged for an order of vegetables 9.00! when every other mexican restaurant i go to it’s 59cent i asked the person at the register about it and he acted like i didn’t even exist, was a complete jerk and like what he was doing at the register mattered more than what i was asking him about! i will not go back

Went in tonight and had a great time. Definitely ask for DANI. She was great even when we questions on the plates and food item, while juggling our 3 kids. Food was delicious and our waitress was great. 10 out of 10!

La Carreta (The Cart) is definitely one of the goto Mexican restaurants in Lexington! I personally have never had a bad or questionable meal. The food is always hot and fresh with bold flavor, and steaming with authentic spice and more than adequate portions. 4 stars for service due to the funky spot you pay the bill, gets a little crowded. 4 stars for atmosphere, it's pretty relaxed unless it's a holiday. Overall great place! Don't miss out!!

Order a ACP no vegetables, go back in to tell the waiter, they messed up my order. He states that I never said no vegetables, then he goes to the back and slides the vegetables off my platter and puts it back in a smaller bowl, to make it look fuller. Knowing he should’ve made it fresh and made it the way I asked for it to be made. And kept in in the same size plate. Im not gonna eat here anymore. That’s just lazy.
