The food is great. It's a little dark inside.
Noticed a whole lot of takeout.

We went in and it wasn’t too busy sat down and immediately got drinks. We ordered a few minutes later. Waited almost 25 minutes for two eggs rolls then another 30 for our dinner. We both ordered combo plates one being filet and chicken the other being chicken steak and shrimp. Two bites into mine I was trying to give him a bite to try when I look down and there’s a black hair on top of the rice. (A simple check for this would have found it) anyways we send mine back and two bites into my boyfriends he pulls out a long blonde hair. Two completely different plates and orders, his was mixed in with vegetables while mine was on rice. It was so disgusting. From what we did get to eat it wasn’t terrible but not great either. The server was amazing! However once I sent my food back before we found the hair on his they never offered to remake it, she went to the back yelled that there was a hair on it and by time she walked back towards us my boyfriend was pulling one out of his mouth. No manager ever came out. We paid for the soda and two egg rolls and left. So disappointed and disgusted

My party of 7 was sat immediately implying that they were not overly busy. We waited 10 mins for drinks, only received 1 refill while waiting over 50 mins for our food.

The food was smothered in generic store bought sauce. The rice tastes like cardboard. The cuts of meat weren't very good either.

We will not be back. I'd rather drive into Salisbury and eat Tokyo Express.

Me and my sister dined in and ordered hibachi, and to our shock the rice tasted very old and plastic-y and the hibachi sauce very fishy, for some odd reason. I don’t complain about food often at all, but I couldn’t stomach the fried rice for more than a few bites. I voiced our concerns to our sweet waitress that informed us that we could get a replacement vegetable, to which me and my sister agreed to, thinking we’d get a suitable portion, especially for the price we’re paying. We were also offered lo mein for an up-charge, which we declined. As if things couldn’t get worse, she brought out cups of veggies as large as their starting soup portions. I was furious, but paid my tab regardless, which came out to ~$18 for a half portion of veggies and a few jumbo shrimps. Would’ve loved to love this place as the atmosphere and service are both great. I definitely won’t be eating here again until the cook gets it together, though. I’ll pass, Lexington. The food looks beautiful, as you can see in the image I attached. But do not be fooled.

Today I got Shotos in lexington and dined in. I was getting lunch with my aunt, I walked in and was sat by a kind and great server she was very polite. I sat down and shortly after ordering food, the food was out and steaming hot before I could finish my soup. I got the hibachi chicken with fried rice and mushrooms with broccoli. It was a huge amount of food and rice as I did not get carrots. The chicken was tender and had good flavor and the vegetables were great! The rice was a little dry but still good. The service was great. And food was good. I would recommend. It is a quiet and very low lighting environment.

Oh, it makes me so sad to leave a negative review! The service was friendly and good. and it was cozy. but the food…was just so yucky! :( I am sorry, but it was not edible. The sesame chicken was visibly burnt - dark brown/almost black with a burnt flavor! It didn’t taste like sesame chicken at all. I can’t believe it was served overcooked. Everything was very, very oily! Dripping with oil! The eggrolls were nothing but oil. They were cold and greasy with barely any stuffing. What happened?? Can you please fix the food? It was really, really yucky…

It took 45 minutes to get our food it was so bad we ate two bites . My 5 year old granddaughter asked for clear soup it was loaded in onions. Had I seen has filthy nasty the carpet was I would have left I do plan on reporting to to health department. It is to nasty for a place serving food $50 plus for the worst food and service. Never going there again.

Food is excellent and i frequent the place as I live close but they are painfully slow. Especially take out. I ordered pick up at 6:13 with estimated pick up time 6:33. That is never accurate so I showed up at 6:53. Was told at 7:03 it was on the grill after I asked to check on it. Finally got it at 7:10. This isn’t a one time thing. This is just the worst time. Almost 1 hour after ordering is honestly pitiful service. They also never apologize for the wait or inconvenience. It’s every time. The food is great so i keep going back but this may be it.

Me and my husband have been coming to this restaurant for years. When i was pregnant with my now 3 month old it was ALL i craved. We drive almost an hour to come to this restaurant were we moved. But it is BEYOUND worth it. From the amazing food at modest prices to the amazing staff. We always feel welcomed an just part of a beautiful community ❤️

Very small but quaint place. They are attentive and if you eat or order regularly they tremendous your preferences which means alot. The food is standard Asian take out quality. I have noticed lately however that the meat content is not as high as it used to be. The ratio of meat to noodle or rice used to be higher. Take that into consideration.

Definitely one of the better Japanese restaurants. While service can be slow, not unusual in today's environment, the quality of both the appetizers and meals are first rate, and the portions of the meals are huge.
