Childress Vineyards

This winery is a must if you live in the Charlotte area. Only an hour away and worth the trip. The vineyard itself is huge, with two different tasting rooms, a gift shop, and delicious bistro. We did the Luxe tasting that was $40 a person for 6 wines. Our server, Stacey, was awesome and very knowledgeable about all the wines and the vineyard history as a whole. She made our tasting experience a great one. We had a reservation for the Sunday brunch in the bistro and it was delicious. The seasonal chicken jalapeño soup was so good we got two bowls and the food came out five minutes after ordering. We had such a great experience here and will definitely go back. The wines are such good quality, our favorites being the Sangiovese and the Riesling and the prices are very reasonable. Such a good winery trip for the day and hey, if you indulge too much there’s a hotel right next to it:)

Rhonda gave us such a great experience with our wine tasting. Her ability to talk about tips of smelling and experiencing good wine with pairing options is unmatched! My wife and I go to many different wineries around the country and internationally. I would absolutely recommend her as a wine connoisseur for NC!

It was very empty for lunch, empty tables in the front, got seated in the back, weird. Wine was so so, not impressed, Partner had a Ruben,it was ok
I ordered a burger, medium, came a little bit burnt, they forgot the fried pickles, burger very dry. Also had goat cheese with figs. Was good, but the spice on the crackers were to much. Would have been better if the crackers were plain
