The food was very good. The menu is a bit smal for lunch and I thought very pricey for lunch as well. Pretty atmosphere and service.

We had amazing service, delicious food and good service at the Pub bar after. We had the wild mushroom bruchetta, lobster bisque, French onion soup, chili, followed by the snapper Oscar, candied salmon, and prime rib. All food was delivered at a good pace, with a large enough portion size for us all to taste test each other's food. We later went back to the bar to have an adult beverage to enjoy back at our room. The two bartenders (a male and female who's names I didn't catch but they seemed to be familiar with each other and worked together well) were friendly and quick with mixing our drinks. We chose a higher end tequila, to which the bar tender made sure to check price on for us first and then said, and I quote, I am not putting a $26 tequila in a plastic cup. I would say everyone here takes great pride in their work.

A wonderful lunch after attending the Gem show. The turkey sandwich with jalapeños sliced, romaine lettuce, fresh grown tomato, Monterey Jack cheese, and apricot mayonnaise along with the sweet potato fries is absolutely delicious!
My husband got the jumbo shrimp basket and he said it was very good. We highly recommend this place. Along with the amazing food and service you can’t find a better view!!

The food there is so good! We loved the Mediterranean plate, the cobb salad was good, and the steak sandwich too. Get some aperol spritz, it was so refreshing. The mountain view is simply breathtaking. Service was amazing, and the place is clean and great for a family lunch, a date, or even just some alone time.

Tuesday, 7/22 - The restaurant is good! The bar is better, but they ran out of silverware and had a 30 - 40 minute wait....really? Wasn't happy with the hostesses, she scolded me for walking back to the bar. It was open and plenty of tables and were staying here for the week. If they wanna keep business, they better quite that kind of BS. I left and went somewhere else for dinner, after looking forward to relax in the pub with dinner tonight, hostess was telling people tot go to their room and they'd call them. Heck, half the seats were empty! Bye!
Wednesday - 7/23 - made reservations for the bar and found out the hostess was supposed to ask if we were guests at the hotel for priority the previous night....oh well....
Got to the bar, ordered, 30 minutes later found out they didn't have the tuna salad we ordered...what the crap??? In either case, the bartenders, Richard & Sierrab are TOP NOTCH and our waitresses were GREAT; they can't help it if the managers or chef screws it up. Hopefully, they'll get it figured out and run the kitchen better. I hope this place gets better and does well!
THURSDAY - 7/24 - The Fowl Play knocked it out of the park. Fried Shrimp was awesome and another night of great service and socialism by the bartenders, Richard & Sierra! He's the man and she's the woman! LOL

Read the lowest reviews— take them seriously. Too many bad things to recount. Here are a few: We should have gotten up and left before ordering drinks. It took over 5 minutes before we were even acknowledged by wait staff. We received one of our entrees after an hour and 15 minutes!!! They knew things were bad because they comp’ed one of our soups and only charged us 50% for the one entree. Of course NONE of the three managers bothered to come by and apologize for the train wreck that was our overall dining experience.

SIDE NOTE: When the menu has $18 appetizers and over $30 for entrees you also don’t expect to be served drinks in plastic cups.

SECOND SIDE NOTE: if you don’t heed this review and choose outdoor seating make sure you ask NOT to be seated along the stone wall just below the rocking chairs. We felt like we were zoo animals behind glass with an audience.

THIRD SIDE NOTE: the extraordinarily romantic view/setting was ruined by the pop country music playing from the bluetooth speaker at the bar and the inebriated interlopers allowed to post-up for drinks at the table next to us.

Spent a birthday weekend at the Inn and our group ate every meal at the Chalet restaurant or Fowl play pub. A great time was had by all! Good food, cocktails and service. See y’all Halloween.

So disappointed in this restaurant. We brought a bunch of folks from out of state to eat here and boy did we build it up. We left with disrespectful and rude staff. I would avoid this establishment.

My visit to the Terrace at the Switzerland Inn was very disappointing. I had been so looking forward to this stop and the views are breathtaking. The weather was beautiful on the sunny day. I highly recommend stopping to take in the views but do not recommend dining here.

Only the Terrace Dining was open the day I was there but you'd think that would bring great views. I was seated against the hotel building and my view was of another building without turning my chair to the views. It was very slow there and there were plenty of open tables with amazing views. I never understand why restaurants put solo diners in the less than ideal tables. I should have changed tables or sat myself like other guests did.

I had read about the prime rib plate and although pricey at $42 decided to go with what they were known for. When my food was brought out I was told that they were out of the prime rib plate and that I was brought out the prime rib sandwich instead. What?

So if they were out of what I ordered why was I not informed after I ordered or asked what I would like to order instead? Then to bring another item with prime rib if they are out of prime rib doesn't make much sense. Then I overheard someone at another party ordering the prime rib plate and he was not told they were out of it.

So what likely happened was the waitress put my order in wrong and instead of correcting it came up with the lie to try to cover up her mistake. She was also supposed to check on me to see if I liked it but never did. When I did see her again I told her it wasn't good then she said that she was happy I liked it. That is not what I said at all. Dishonesty is not a good trait .

What I was brought was disgusting. I'm not sure what was worse, the soggy bread, thin pot roast that was flavorless, covered with cheese and onions. And they charged $24 for that sandwich. My side of mashed potatoes were cold. I'm not sure if they forgot to reheat them after taking them out of the refrigerator.

I will never dine at the Switzerland Inn again after the awful service and food. They don't value solo diners here.

The lack of respect is disappointing that they think it is ok to treat anyone this way. This restaurant needs to hire better waitstaff or properly train them so that they can put orders in correctly and if a mistake is made, he or she corrects the mistake rather than lie about it.

I do hope the restaurant can correct the issues with service as there is a lack of it and the quality and temperature of the food served needs to be fixed.
