I was at the drive-thru at Hwy 55 in Locust, NC last week and they were out of French fries and tea. Iced tea and French fries are a staple in the South and a restaurant should never run out of those two items.

Hwy 55 in Locust N.C., I'm giving a 1 star review. The cheese steak combo was horrible. The steak was very little and near burnt, the tater tots were very greasy and warm at best. The sweet tea was the best part of my meal. I'm not a happy customer! The restaurant seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers with no management. Probably won't ever return.

Service needs an upgrade. We were the only table in the entire place. Our server left, and the only other server never approached us. We didn't get refills, we didn't get our check until 20 minutes after we were finished and our table was cleared. The bathroom is also disgusting. There was a pile of grime in the corner. Would not recommend.
Great food, fast service at table and drive thru

Just went through drive thru - got the grilled cheese and tots. The girl asked me if I wanted ketchup and I said yes. Get my food and no ketchup no napkins no receipt then I get home and my grilled cheese smells like seafood. What the heck!?
Great service, best burger in town. I'm glad I found you guys again

I'll start with positive first, my burger was really good. The fries, onion rings and tater tots were horrible. They were cold, and dark brown like they were cooked yesterday in old oil. Philly cheese steak was cooked in that same old oil and tasted terrible. They're chilli is good. This was my first ever Hwy 55 experience.

Service was terrible!! Had to get our own refills several times. Workers were just hanging out at the bar with their friends. Staff was also eating food while customers were waiting for service. Management needs to do a better job at picking trained staff.

I was looking forward to this visit because I loved the Hwy55 in Harrisburg (which for some reason was closed, maybe because it was too busy).
Anyway my wife and I walk in (about 3 pm) and we were the only customers in the place. (NOT A GOOD SIGN). We ordered. After an unexpected long wait, considering we were the only customers they had, They brought our food out and my wife's was correct, but mine was wrong. I ordered a plain cheeseburger, the one I received was loaded. The waitress came back, and I told her and she said "I'll cook you a new one". She took my burger. 15 minutes later, the burger came out. Well my wife was already done eating her meal by then. The burger and fries were marginal. The bun was not warm and steamed like I was used to with the Harrisburg store. This one was just taken out of the bag. Unimpressed. That plus I had to sit and eat by myself. Needless to say this was our worst experience my wife and I had in a long time, and we eat out at a different restaurant every Friday. Do not bother eating here. There are plenty of other worthy establishments in Locust to eat at. I can't see this place staying open too much longer.

Restaurantji Recommends
Wait time is 2 hours because they didn’t staff. Took 30 minutes to even order food. Two employees working the entire restaurant while doing the drive through. Why post about a kids night and then not plans accordingly?? Minnie Mouse is in the back flipping burgers instead of seeing the kids (literally in her costume flipping burgers) Management needs to give their team help, the poor employees were struggling. Don’t promote an event and not staff it. Insanely disappointing. You’d think management would read reviews and improve.

First off, we sat in the drive thru line for a good 15-20 mins before being handed our food. Once we got home, we realized our daughter’s chicken tenders were nearly black. Obviously cooked in super old oil. Also realized after the fact that she was supposed to get a scoop of custard with her kid’s meal, which was never mentioned at the speaker or window. The burgers lacked any seasoning whatsoever (not even salt) and mine had chunks of extremely pink hamburger meat in the patty. My little brother warned me that this place gave him 4 days worth of food poisoning. I hope that’s not the case for us as I breastfeed our daughter. Also my Dr. Pepper was super flat. Tastes like there is practically no carbonation in it at all. Disappointing for having spent $31.

Service was outstanding!
Food sucked.
Cheesesteak looked like chicken
Shrimp Po boy was greasy from oil not being hot enough when they cooked the shrimp. All young kids working here, no adult Manager in sight.
My granddaughter would not eat her grilled cheese. We won’t be back.
No napkins at the table
Parking: Handicap parking is not marked correctly and difficult to park
