while in the restaurant the cook was smoking a cigarette and drinking clubtails without gloves while making food! this place is NASTY...the owner obviously doesn't care for the business. The health department will be called yukkk!
Had been years since I had been back to Lumberton. Everywhere else that served BBQ was closed and someone reminded us about Pauline's. It was what I remembered. Good eastern bbq. Along with good calabash style seafood, good Eastern BBQ has eluded me since moving to the west of our Great State. Great BBQ and sides. Sweet potato fries were very good also. Friendly service. Don't expect fancy but you can't eat fancy. Good food friendly service.

Place was clean and food was pretty good. Did a bit of who's on first trying to figure out what meat comes on the BBQ plate. Spoiler- in NC BBQ means pork. So other than that a pretty good experience. Servers ladies could be a bit nicer tho. I'd go again.
