This is our favorite breakfast spot in Maggie Valley. It’s a must when we visit. The food is outstanding, we can’t get enough of the potatoes! The apples are amazing, everything is. The service is great, all of the ladies have taken great care of us, start to finish. My only regret is we’re always too full from breakfast to come back and try lunch!!!
I love southern food, but we don't eat meat. Even the green beans are cooked with meat. Fish is something I'll eat. This was our first visit ( and now our last), so I asked the waitress if the fish sandwich was big. She said it is like all of our sandwiches. When I said this was our first visit, how big are those? She said really big and indicated with her hands a fairly large size. But when the sandwich got to the table, it was on a small juner size white flour hamburger...
We arrived about 1;45 on a Thursday when they closed at 2 pm & were welcomed in just like it was noon! I had BBQ pork a mountain of fried squash, pintos & a big cathead biscuit I ate every crumb, so good. My wife had chic & dumplings mashed potatoes and field peas with same biscuit, she loved her's too. They were spared from the flood by quick thinking, so GO & enjoy a day Maggie & great food & service at Country Vittles ask for Tammy!
