Wonderful food; great atmosphere. The food is authentic Italian, and you can taste the quality ingredients. The wine list is fabulous. Not your average Italian restaurant. This one is really special.
Had large meal
Best Italian in this part of NC! The shrip scampi is to die for! Update 2022- The staff was not competent and and food took forever dropped 2 stars off my 5 star review Update 2025 - Gave them another chance after 3 years. My chicken marsala was delicious. The price has gone up exponentially but the service is much better even though it took them 15 minutes to seat us. The Chicken Ramona Had a very rancid sort of back taste. I think that's from the prosciutto, but I think it would have changed the flavor exponentially if they would have used pancetta instead.
I ate at this restaurant several years ago and was amazed by the service, food and atmosphere. However, today’s visit was a different story when it came to the wait staff. The quality of the wait staff was no where near what one would expect from a restaurant of this quality. This could have been solved had they had any management in the restaurant to oversee the goings on on the floor. In the almost two hours that we were there there was no management around to oversee the dining room. The staff were were young and very inexperienced in working in a restaurant of this stature. I hope this was a one off experience as the food and atmosphere was nice.
We dined here because of a recommendation from friends and Frankies did not disappoint us! We opted for veal tonight, I had the Scallopini and my wife got the Sorrento. All I can say is AWESOME!!! Their calamari was delicious also. Perfectly cooked with a wonderfully tasting sauce. The wine and coffee were excellent. We didn't have room for dessert but the coffees came with small biscottis that added a beautiful touch. We were served by Justin and Ben who did a great job topping off our dining experience. Thank you! We will return! PS. Don't forget to visit the their gift shop next door that included wonderful pastries.
Unbelievably great everything! The food and service was wonderful and the atmosphere is equally fantastic!
This was a wonderful venue for celebrating my 78th birthday on May 10 with my family. Our waitress, KAREN, offered top-notch service, including patience and attentiveness with class. The pianist added even more class. The food was great as well, including complimentary bread, soup, and birthday Cannoli. 🎂
Lasagna was the best.

We had a good time. Food was great and the staff were excellent. We had our dog with us, so we utilized the outdoor seating. Definitely will make another visit next year.

Beautiful restaurant food is ok. This was our second visit as we have a house in Maggie. Service was very slow and sub par to say the least it was the most disappointing. Waitress had 0 personality and we all sat waiting for drink refills. Very disappointed hope management steps in and realizes this could hurt business tremendously.

I truly loved the live piano. This is where you want to be for date night or to meet friends. A very classic home feel. I wish the food was a bit more flavorful but the wine makes up for it.

Normally we would give Frankies a 4 or 5 star for the food and chocolates in their store next door. However, this was our worst experience by far in all of our times at Frankies. Our server Karen lived up to the namesake if you know what I mean. I asked for fresh garlic for our bread and she immediately said they didn't have garlic (wait what?!?! An Italian restaurant without garlic ?). Asked the server assistant for garlic and somehow it magically appeared (by the way we tipped him more than Karen).Had to ask for extra bread 4 times, she always seemed annoyed with any request. Other than that the salad dressing was mediocre, none of us finished our meal for lack of flavor except for my husband's mussels which were great!! We ended up going to the owners sisters restaurant the next night called Amicis and it was fantastic!! Turns out they had great service, great food and fresh garlic. We will be back next week for our anniversary but will probably skip Frankies unfortunately. Last but not least, don't bother asking for a sample of wine...apparently they can't give a sample of it even if they sell it by the glass, because that makes sense. I have been in the industry for over 15 years and have never heard of that.
Always treated like family!
