It’s hard to review a restaurant when they’re working at 50% capability after the hurricane Helene catastrophe, but we were out doing errands and hungry. We found this place on Google maps and were surprised we had never discovered it before.
It was a beautiful short ride up from Soco Rd even considering all the downed trees, so pretty in fact that it’s in my mind included as part of the restaurant experience.
The menu was limited as could be expected, as were most of all the other restaurants brave enough to open at this time and a symbol of the fiercely strong community spirit.
We both selected cheeseburgers from the short menu, I opted for a salad instead of fries but my daughter had the fries. The burgers were good, with caramelized onions and the bread really really good. I was very pleasantly surprised that the mixed salad was spring greens and rainbow radishes, fresh and unusual in a region where some iceberg lettuce and a slice of tomato passes off as salad in most restaurants.
For my budget the ticket was a little high for two burgers and coffee, but they get an A for effort, good service and a relaxing, classy atmosphere as you might expect in a country club golf course.
I don’t know at this point what the full menu during normal times looks like, but I’m certainly willing to try again and would encourage other diners to try as well, especially if you are seniors looking for a quite, relaxing place to eat and unwind.

Referred there by the folks at Cabbage Rose! Greatly enjoyed the food and the patio ambiance. Wine list was good and the prices. Tracey was great also! Close to home so we will return!

Ambience is incredible! Food overall was good. The salad with nuts wasn't the best I've had; actually left most of it! The special (schnitzels) was very good and the appetizers were great. The other entrees were average. We had a party of 7 on the veranda.

The worst prime rib we have ever had. Mine was so tuff and tasteless I couldn't cut it. Took a few bites and gave to my husband and he agreed. This was served on top of mashed potatoes with gravy very sloppy and unappetizing. We have had better prime rib on our many cruises and at no charge. For $50 a person we were expecting a good Father's Day dinner. Will not be back.

We were the only table in the restaurant and it took 40 minutes for just our drinks! I couldn’t understand why???

Sad to report that the food was poor. I did not think that we could go wrong with a hamburger but it was overcooked and dry. Salmon was overcooked and 'swimming' in lentil sauce. Service and wait staff were pleasant.

Always love the food here and friendly atmosphere. The cornbread muffins are must have. Sadly they seem to be seasonal.

If you are vacationing around Maggie Valley/WNC, I would definitely recommend AVOIDING this place. Though it’s located on a golf course, billboards advertise ‘public welcome’ - so we stopped by for lunch. I can’t remember encountering worse service in my life. For some reason we had 3 different servers throughout our visit, the first and second being incredibly rude and taking far too long to do their jobs despite the place being pretty empty. The third server wasn’t exactly rude, but seemed confused about basic requests like ketchup for our kid’s chicken tenders. During the long stretches we waited for service, server #1 (older blonde woman) was singing loudly, gossiping about someone, and hanging all over a man who was sitting at the bar. Seemed maybe intoxicated. Server #2, a brunette woman, brought my cocktail about 15 minutes after it was ordered (again, this is while the place was virtually empty and the staff was standing around laughing/gossiping the whole time). After dropping it off, she asked ‘Do you like it?’ and then shouted ‘She barfed, she barfed’ to the other staff in the kitchen. Completely bizarre and if the owners actually want vacationers to come, they should hire more professional staff who won’t make guests feel so uncomfortable and inspire reviews like this one.

I liked it, cool view and attentive staff. The food was delicious and the beer was delicious too. The menu is not larger, but we liked everything we chose.

The food on the buffet did not stay warm. It was ok but nothing over the top. We love the Pin High Grill for the atmosphere and we love Angie, Shannon and Jennifer as servers and bartender.
