Went to salty dogs for the first time, and was able to walk through the back door. As I entered the first thing I saw was a phatass booty white girl. Turns out she was the cook. I had the grouper sandwich and it was wonderful. Met the owner, and she was really nice. Highly recommend. I will be back.

One of my favorite bars to go to. Great local beer.

This place caught me off guard. I can't recommend stopping here highly enough. When you drive by it and miss it...... It's worth the turn around.

Honestly, one of my truly favorite jobs , had a blast, met a lot of awesome , cool, sweet people. Then well friends aren't really friends! More like a lot of backstabbing! But life goes on with or without it or them! They literally talk about people, there "so called friends but as soon as they leave out the door, dont think they aren't talking about you! If you are a repeat customer, you should not be giving them your money!!! There seating also isi not that great wheel chairs!? Maybe if you're lucky 1 at a time !!

excellent grouper, fries and salad. first server was friendly and speedy in taking my order and bringing food but second server was slow in bringing check. it looks like they needed more help, a common dilemma in today's economy.

My wife and I attended Thunder in The Smokies along with three other couples this past weekend and had a terrific time. Our last stop at the Salty Dog before we left yesterday (9/8/2024) was a terrible experience to end such a great weekend. First off, I don't want to place blame on our server as she was trying her hardest, however the kitchen staff and bar staff was awful!! When we arrived there really wasn't many other patrons. We waited over an hour just for all our drinks. My wife and I ordered 2 bloody Mary drinks and asked for doubles. When they were finally delivered they were in small tumbler like glasses and had absolutely no Alcohol in them. We also ordered the grouper bites that came to the table after that hour plus wait and they were good. We decided that we would never get our food, so we asked for our checks. The server continued to apologize for the lack of help. The finale kick in the pants were our bills.. our two drinks and grouper bites was $55.09. Again, our drinks were in small whiskey glasses with NO alcohol. The other three couple with us had the same sort of outrageous bills. We all left and went further down the road where my wife and I had drinks, an appetizer, and a meal for $67.00.
To summarize.. todays service world continues to suffer and people just don't show up for work.. and it continues to be accepted as today's normal needs to stop!! The INTEGRITY of the Salty Dog with drink pricing and lack of actual alcohol is UNACCEPTABLE!
