“My wife and I moved into our new home only a year and a half ago. We live only about five or six miles from the cafe. We only recently learned about it and tried it just a few days ago. Folks...you need to make the trip! The staff are warm and endearing. The food is all fresh, home style and plentiful! The place appears small but step inside and it's roomy and clean! We loved it and plan to go back often. You owe it to yourself to come and enjoy!“

“It been a really good place to eat till today and it was still good but the order was not what i ask for the to do it was even printed on the ticket to put the chicken in one box and the tater tots in another box instead they put one order of chicken tendes in a brown paper bag on top of the tater tots and put the second order of chicken tendes in another brown paper bag on top of French fries so i was extremely disappointed with the service today and I had ate their a lot I let it slide this time“

“I really love this place. It’s not fancy, but the food is solid and affordable …and the wonderful people who work there are especially happy and friendly to us every time we come in.

The only critique I would have is they could actually be open on Sundays because I would be there for breakfast consistently. There aren’t any other good breakfast spots that are fast and affordable.“

“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.“

“I had breakfast; two eggs over-medium, bacon, Grits, toast, and coffee. The food was cooked to order, hot, and delicious at a good price. The staff were attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Check it out if you haven't already, and I will look forward to eating there again.“

“When we arrived to Glass Onion we learned the restaurant has new owners . Dinner was just good . Couldn't wait for dessert , We had Apple Crisp , The apple pieces were so large it was hard to enjoy . We noted on our reservation that we're celebrating our 39TH Anniversary , There was no mention to us , No CONGRATULATIONS or anything . Our server was excellent , He had served us before when we dined here . We will not be dining here again .“

“We stopped here for breakfast at apx 11 am this morning, 07/07/23. We sat at the counter due to all seats being taken, busy place. Service was great, food was excellent, staff were all friendly and helpful and the camaraderie among them was easy and comfortable . The two 'grillmasters 'Bob' and ? sorry I forgot to ask her name ..were amazing to watch. 8 plates up and no tickets, mind boggling.
