The ice cream is SO yummy!! I had blueberry buttermilk (sounds odd I know) and loved it. They have dairy free options, which my son has to have, and that can be hard to find. Friendly staff and great prices too!!

This is seriously some of the best ice cream I have ever had. Quality ingredients, lots of creativity, and unique flavors. You can tell they are made with love because the owners (and their adorable baby!) are just so sweet! GF and DF options that I recommend even if you don't have dietary restrictions.
I once thought I knew nearly everything there was to know about ice cream sandwiches. But that was before. Sitting here, now, on a day like this, and breathing in the warm summer breeze that smells of basil, and strawberries, and drying sprigs of lavender and, suddenly, I'm right back there again: in all of the places that I've always known. I open my eyes and I'm here- at the creamery in Mars Hill, NC. Or maybe I'm in an endless meadow. Or maybe drinking a cool dew drop from a fig leaf. My ice cream sandwich journey is only beginning.

Everything is amazing here, you should go and you won't be disappointed! They have classic flavors as well as unique combinations and options for vegan and gluten free folks. I also really appreciate their emphasis on local quality ingredients and nothing artificial. Very fairly priced for higher quality than you'll find anywhere else. You can find them in farmers markets, some local store/restaurants, but I would recommend checking out their beautiful storefront that's located in an art studio. The family that runs it is always sweet and welcoming and they have a really cute baby! ☺️

Located in the back of an art gallery, this small shop offers quirky and standard flavors of homemade ice cream. We tried the Mint Chocolate Chip, made without the usual green food dye. Excellent!
Definitely worth the trip for the ice cream, the art gallery and driving around the charming town of Mars Hill.
