You must try this restaurant if you love Italian food! I haven’t even had the chance to try the pizzas yet, because the pasta dishes are exceptional. The portions are generous, the pastas are full of flavor, and I haven’t had anything on the menu yet that wasn’t worth getting over and over again. It’s the type of restaurant that you struggle with going back to a previous dish you know will be top notch, or trying the next best option you haven’t had before.
We stopped in on a whim, and we were delightfully surprised!
Don't be dissuaded by the takeout appearance when you first walk in, there's a nice dining room and bar just a few steps away.
The bruschetta was delicious, a good amount of toasted bread and a tomato/cheese/basil and olive oil flavor that bright be back to my time in Italy.
We also had the Lemon Picatta and Penne Burina (Alfredo sauce). One bite in and we were sold on coming back....

Wow has this place changed since I was last here!!! They are not open for lunch, so it’s hard for me to get here regularly. They changed from a NY style slice shop, to more of a nicer style restaurant with a cool little bar. Domestics are 3.25, craft beers $6 and up (though if I’m going out for beers, I prefer Cornerstone, since they have Utica on draft for good price). Nothing on tap at Mamas.
