This is our favorite restaurant for sushi when we're in town. Never had a bad meal here and it was great again today. However the atmosphere today was not enjoyable. The hip-hop music was so loud, it was hard to have conversation across the table. Not their usual music and definitely not their normal volume.

I just walked out of Mr. Tokyo on E independence. I was being sat in a cold part of the restaurant. They refused to seat me and refused to honor my request. Siting that server rotation is more important. Gross. Two decades of F&B experience and I have never experienced such in hospitable food establishment.

Great sushi. Great price. Always fast after ordering. The nagiri came out almost instantly. I wish they were a bit more lenient with preferred seating but they have a big sign saying “no means no” which is kind of off putting from the start.

If you only want to eat the place is great. However the music volume makes conversation difficult during meals.

When you first enter, you’ll notice an odd sign on the door informing you, “no preferred seating”. At first we didn’t think anything of it until 5 min in, our ears felt like they would start bleeding and our heads rattled from the atrocious noise right next to the table. The ice machine was so loud, we could barely hear each other talk. The worst happened when one of us found a long hair in her rice. We stopped eating and started inspecting our food. Lo and behold, three hairs sticking out of another sushi piece. We all stopped eating. They gave us 20% off, but I feel sick to my stomach thinking of all the human parts I just ate. It should have been free. So gross.

The food was hot and fresh. I like that the sauce for the crab ragoons was a sweet chili type but not to hot it paired well. I would have liked the yum yum sauce to be a little more without them charging a fee but over all it was a good first time visit.

Nasty experience. We found a roach walking on the table . We notified the waitress and she didn’t say nothing about it.

We just came at 2PM to have lunch for the all you can eat. Two young employees were closing up and told us to leave even though you are supposed to stay open until 3PM. It’s my daughter’s birthday and she loves sushi. This is super disappointing.
