This is was my 3rd visit to One Tapas & Bar and the food and drinks were delicious. I really appreciate that they asked me if I had food allergies. I highly recommend this restaurant they are very nice.

Hidden gem offering Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Great cocktails too. They have limited seating. Reservation at the weekend are recommended.

Loved the food at this restaurant. We had mussels, octopus, shrimp tapas. A surf and turf and a branzino as a main to share as well. All were excellent, especially the octopus which is a difficult dish to prepare correctly. This restaurant is small- reminded me of some places I have been to in Manhattan - so they pack people in tightly. Definitely need a reservation. It's also very loud. Acoustic tile on the ceiling would certainly help with the noise.

Wow, what a cool and hip restaurant with fabulous menu variety and a creative drink list including my favorite lychee martini. Unusual to find in a strip mall, but the forest green velvet booths and chairs with great bar seating are a special find that feels like it belongs in a much trendier neighborhood...worth the trip.

We just enjoyed our first meal at The One and it was wonderful!! It is an intimate and beautiful space and the service was exceptional! We had the pork belly bar buns, bone marrow, crispy mushrooms, and zucchini blossoms. Every dish was delicious!! We can't wait to go back!!!

I had a wonderful time here. The chef went above and beyond by making an extra vegetarian dish just for me, which was not only thoughtful but absolutely delicious! On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Truly a memorable dining experience🥰thank you!

The owner, Alice, is such a sweet person and checks up on all the tables constantly. You can definitely tell a lot of people come back because she's built such a personal relation with her. Highly recommend everyone to bring in their significant other or family for an intimate experience.

My wife and I decided to try The One Tapas & Bar because of their good reviews. The drinks were very good! The prices were reasonable for what we received. Sadly, my food was entirely too salty. The wagyu burgers were so salty that they made my mouth burn, and the truffle fries were almost inedible. My wife’s octopus was overcooked and quite rubbery.

We hope that these issues will be addressed so that we may return and give you another chance at making the delicious food your reviewers praise.

Good options for Tapas, our waitress Alice was super friendly and helpful with choices. Ventured off from Charlotte to get here, and glad we did as it’s somewhat of a hidden gem for those who love Spanish style tapas.

My husband and I dined at The One on a Sunday evening. Although we didn’t have reservations, we were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between simple and sophisticated, with tasteful green and gold accents woven throughout the space. I especially loved the open view into the kitchen — a charming detail that added to the experience.

The service was outstanding. Our orders were taken with care, and the owner herself crafted our cocktails, which felt like a special touch. The menu, a thoughtfully curated selection of tapas, made it genuinely difficult to choose — everything sounded so enticing! Safe to say, I'll definitely be returning to try more.

Each dish arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. We began with three bacalao croquettes, a perfect way to start the meal — crisp on the outside, creamy and flavorful inside. Next came the oxtail empanadas, which were truly a standout. I highly recommend trying them if you get the chance; the meat was tender and juicy, wrapped in a perfectly flaky pastry.

Following that, we enjoyed the wagyu beef sliders accompanied by truffle fries — a classic elevated to a refined, well-executed version. The Spanish-style meatballs served with a side of toast were hearty and satisfying, though I was starting to feel pleasantly full by then.

We finished our savory selections with the duck ragù fettuccine, a beautifully light and clean-tasting pasta that satisfied my Italian food craving without feeling overly heavy.

For dessert, we couldn't resist the evening’s special — matcha tiramisu — and it was absolutely divine: delicate, not overly sweet, and a memorable finish to the meal.

Overall, everything from the service to the food exceeded expectations. Compliments to the owner & chefs for curating a menu that excites you to come back and try even more.

If I had one minor critique, it would be the bed of arugula used decoratively under several dishes. While it looked nice, it felt unnecessary and led to some food waste.

Nonetheless, The One delivered an exceptional dining experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Dont know why or how I’ve missed this place - And kind of happy it doesnt seem to have gotten its just due. This is truly one of charlotte’s finest restaurants! Every thing Ive eaten here is absolutely a knockout. If this place was in noda or southpark it would easily be one of the hottest restaurants in town. The diverse menu has at least a few items for anyone. wether its asian, italian or american inspired dishes- they are all done perfectly. And the 2 deserts i tried (tiramisu & chocolate grenache ) were uniquely under sweetened- which made them a little different and fantastic. Great service , great cocktails and really impressive food.
