“This is the old time, hole in the wall, greasy spoon with great food and service you can't find anymore. Good ole sloppy double cheeseburger with an 80yr old chili recipe. Everything is priced a la carte, sodas served in cans. Just a lunch counter. Super friendly staff makes you feel right at home. I mile off Exit 181 in Maxton off Hwy 74. Cash or debit cards accepted. Great prices

Parking: Parking spaces on both sides or street. Not a lot of merchants so parking shouldn't be a problem.”

“Service was fast and friendly. My food was nice and hot. They came over and checked to see if I needed anything else. The manager thanked me for coming on my way out the door. I will definitely go back next time I'm passing through Laurinburg.”

“My wife and myself have never been to Captain Larry's. To be honest, we went to the old Captain Larry's and the place looked so bad from the outside, I did not want to go inside. I can attest that things are VERY different now. The place was very clean, quiet, and decorated very good. The staff was very nice and attentive to us. The food was great!!! I ordered a NY strip steak, and the flavor was fantastic. It was cooked a bit over what I ordered, and the waitress pointed it out even before I saw the steak. She offered to take care of it for me. I told her not to worry about it that it looked fine. The Hushpuppies were some of the best I have ever had, and I grew up on the coast. We will be returning soon, and sure we will enjoy it the same way.”

“First time here. Just moved into the area and had to come to Laurinburg on business. It was lunch time and stopped by another place. They weren't what they said they were so I left. Drove by and didn't see this place and had turned around to go back to another place and then I saw it. I had to go in. Not much to look at in the outside which is why I didn't see it in the first place but when I went in everything changed.

Immediately you get a sense of what you're about to partake in. Hardly anyone inside so I was immediately seated by the hostess. The server came over immediately and was very pleasant. She gave me a few minutes to look over the menu. One side all sushi and the other side all dishes and appetizers

The food came quickly and was so good, as well as the service. No desserts here.

Definitely coming back to this place. It has class, great service and food. .”

“Beautiful vineyards and property! We Met the lovely Ms. Tina (Christina) and were thoroughly entertained and educated by the charming Ms. CARRIE. She was awesome with her knowledge, history, and selections of wine and grapes. This was an excellent experience that was also so warm and welcoming to visit and bring a lunch to eat. We love this place!”

“Had breakfast at the Laurinburg location yesterday and was really surprised. The parking lot was full and almost went somewhere else. I tried the ultimate country ham biscuit with buttered grits. My wife had the biscuit and gravy with the hash browns. Every thing was delicious and believe it or not they handled the crowd with ease with very little wait time. These grits were cooked perfectly not like that watered down stuff they throw at you at Hardee’s and was loaded with butter and really hot. The ladies out front were friendly and respectful. Best breakfast in town. Some people will never be satisfied with anything or the service they get no matter what.”

“Amazing restaurant with Mexican soul. Food are delicious,fresh and meals are really big. They serve hot tortilla chips with homemade salsa sauce while you waiting for the main course. First time tried Mexican dessert and it’s so good! Stuff is very caring and sweet. Interior are incredible,every detail made with love. Definitely 5 star ⭐️”

“Not from around here so had no idea what I was getting into, there is always a line when I go by but today I was able to get in and make an order. Not knowing what BBQ was asked for recommendation and was sold on a BBQ tray for less then 7 dollars BBQ and Cole slaw with hush puppies, boy where have been all my life. WOW. Never did any hot sauce before but was offered some so I took one to try. It is better than anything on the strip , usually pay twice for just coffee and donut. Never again. I'm hooked on papa bills BBQ. 5 star I will be back to try the ribs.”

“The food is very good and is a great value. The portion sizes are big with plenty for leftovers. The white sauce is delicious. We prefer going here over any other Japanese restaurant around including the ones in Fayetteville. We don’t live in Laurinburg but drive over specifically to eat here at least twice a month.”

“My family & I usually do take out b/c the inside isn't as clean as I'd prefer to eat inside. Overall the food is really good. I do recommend their House Soup, Fried Egg/Spring rolls, baby shrimp w/fried rice, Mongolian Beef, Hunan Beef, shrimp fried rice, vegetable fried rice & cheese wontons.”

“It is a nice little country side diner, that you can eat a good cheeseburger or hotdogs. But they also have other things on the menu. It has a nice family atmosphere.

Kid-friendliness: It is family owned Christian people that has a family friendly atmosphere.

Parking: You will have no problems finding somewhere to park.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes people that are disabled will have no problem accessing the cafe.”
