As a Brooklyn New York Italian I can tell you Luigi is a gentleman and has delicious food. Authentic, simple, affordable. He is a kind person who makes you feel like you are eating at nonnas house on a Sunday. Mille Grazie.

I once thought it was a great place to eat. I have since changed my mind. The wait staff has always been super friendly. That's the only good thing I can say about it now.

I tried this place after hearing good things about it. The food was good but lacked seasoning. The garlic broccoli chicken I ordered did not taste like garlic. Also, the chicken was processed, not a chicken breast, as I had hoped for. Although my party was initially was only the second table in the restaurant at 5 pm, we felt a bit rushed to leave the table. The waitress did not allow enough time to finish salads before the food was brought to the table. Then, she never came back to clear the table before dropping off the check. I might try it again...maybe.

We do not live in the town, but have friends that do, and they had recommended this restaurant. They are long time customers, had a loss of a family member, and we wanted to bring them comfort food.I called to order a few trays of food just prior to the time of opening and Luigi was very helpful in taking my order. I ordered 2 hot trays, (chicken cutlet parm and baked ziti), and a garden salad tray. As promised, it was ready at the time of pick up.There was an overcharge on the bill that we paid and they had refunded us the amount overpaid. It is a beautiful restaurant, nice decor, very clean. I thought it was odd that it was completely empty at 3pm, but was very excited to share a wonderful meal with our friends!Having lived in Italy for a few years and coming from a Sicilian family, I was disappointed. It's hard to describe the taste, but the sauce didn't taste homemade, and lacked flavor, like it was poured from a can of pureed tomatoes without adding anything to cut down on the sharpness of tart tomatoes. It was poured over the chicken cutlets tray and the ziti tray, topped with mozzarella, then baked. The cutlets were over seasoned with garlic, but that was the only thing that seemed to have any flavor. As for the good, the bread and salad was very fresh. I'm sorry, but the pricing point was grossly overinflated for the quality of the meal.

Worst food I have ever received at a restaurant. The food was served cold, there was no sauce on the pasta, and the chicken looked like it was from a microwave meal. By the time our waitress came to check on us and I tried to send the plate back my boyfriend was finished eating and they wouldn’t comp my meal. Will never eat there again.

Not like my Italian moma made lasagna or ravioli. Sauce lacked imagination and was almost out of the jar quality. Maybe the pizza is better?

Called repeatedly between 4:30 and 5:00 PM on a Saturday. First couple of times rang 20 times, no answer. Then someone did the on/off answer twice. Ate in there once previously, food was decent service was abominable. Done with these guys.

This is my go-to for Italian. Mocksville has zero restaurants with an upscale feel, and with some minor additional touches, I could see this place becoming a real date-night type of place. The food is superb, but current ambiance is more casual.

A Taste of Italy in Mocksville: La Vita E Bella Shines with Exceptional TiramisuLa Vita E Bella in Mocksville, North Carolina is a hidden gem that captures the essence of Italian cuisine with its mouthwatering tiramisu. As a dessert enthusiast, I have indulged in numerous iterations of this classic Italian treat, but none have left me as spellbound as the one served at this quaint establishment. The tiramisu at La Vita E Bella is, without a doubt, to die for. Each bite takes you on a delightful journey of flavors, with the perfect balance of creamy mascarpone, ladyfingers delicately soaked in espresso, and a hint of cocoa. It's a dessert that leaves a lasting impression and keeps me coming back for more. While the tiramisu is undoubtedly the star of the show, I must address a minor concern. Luigi, the talented chef behind this heavenly creation, has a tendency to intermittently return to Italy, causing the restaurant to shut down temporarily. This can be disappointing for loyal patrons who eagerly anticipate indulging in their favorite dessert. However, the sheer quality of the tiramisu makes up for this inconvenience, and the wait is always worthwhile. In light of the ever-changing economy, it's understandable that La Vita E Bella has adjusted its prices accordingly. However, I do share the sentiment that the serving sizes could be a tad more generous for the price paid. Given the exceptional flavors and the overall dining experience, a slightly larger portion would truly elevate the experience to new heights.Despite this minor criticism, the ambiance at La Vita E Bella is undeniably charming. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the friendly and attentive staff, creates a cozy haven where you can savor your dessert with utmost satisfaction. The attention to detail in both the presentation and the service further adds to the overall experience. In conclusion, La Vita E Bella is a must-visit destination for anyone in Mocksville seeking an authentic taste of Italy. The tiramisu alone is worth the visit, with its exquisite flavors and impeccable execution. While the occasional closure due to Luigi's return to Italy can be a drawback, the delightful experience and warm hospitality compensate for it. Although the portion sizes could be slightly more generous given the price, La Vita E Bella remains an exceptional choice for an indulgent dessert experience. So, venture into this charming corner of Mocksville and prepare to be transported to the heart of Italy, one heavenly bite of tiramisu at a time.
