We drove 2.5 hours to eat. The best seafood around. The hostess, waiter and manager made the meal even better as we arrived 10 minutes before they closed, they still welcomed us in as if they were not getting ready to close. You won't find a better place to eat.

Ok havent ate here in quite a while.
We decided to give them a shot.... after not being here in years, the place has turned around.
Everything was great! Not sure if something has changed but our food was amazing.
We live here part time and definitely will be back.

We love the Sanitary. My family has been coming here for generations at this point.

Popcorn shrimp were terrible. The man at the table next to us complained about his whole meal. Don't think I'll go back.

Too rich. No veggies come with most orders. Only 2 food opens per plate.

Great food and great bartender
The Sanitary is very mid and there really is no other way to describe it. Service is attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share their recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable. The overall atmosphere is perfect for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. Overall the food could be better but it's a safe option if wait times are long everywhere else.

We ordered out and it was ready when I got there. They were super nice and the restaurant seemed super interesting with lots of historical things on the wall.

Dietary restrictions: They instantly came back with a new meal the moment that I mentioned that I was allergic to one of the things that was added

Actually at the Yellow Fin pub which is part of the Sanitary. Food was fantastic. Watched a little football and had some drinks. Would highly recommended.

The sanitary fish market was great. That captain's 109 was a very loud place and my son had trouble there with his anxiety, but the food was good. Just cost a lot.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but after today's lunch I will not be back. Flounder was extremely greasy & seasoned entirely too much, shrimp same. For the price I expected better, way better. From now on I will go to Seaside at Harkers Island food is on point and caught fresh. Never disappointed there. Lesson learned

First time since leaving New York to find a place serving shrimp parmigiana. Was excited until the plate arrived. Packed it up to go and fed it to my dog. I hope he forgives me.

Seafood festival was busy but the restaurant was not when we got there. Lady told me to stand in separate line.for seafood spud, then processed to take the same order fromthe person behind me. Spud was not good like they have been last several years. Unorganized, rude, and very disappointed in the restaurant. This is the reason we drove so far for the festival and we were sadly disappointed at the service received.
