I had an excellent shrimp platter with baked potato. I’ve had a lot of shrimp from most east coast states. These were as good as I’ve had anywhere. They were lightly breaded and cook perfectly.

My Maui was cooked so much the shin was chewy/ leather like and rest had no flavor. Wife got Crab cakes and were overcooked also. Waiter was super nice kid. Overpriced cardboard meal.

Our server Joseph was amazing! Food came out hot and fresh! Joseph was very attentive to our large party! He was unintentionally funny which was a bonus!

It's a very nice and comfortable place to enjoy great food, and a lovely view of the water.

The food here is phenomenal it's right on the waterfront the hush puppies are warm and fresh that they bring out before dinner the Caesar salad was excellent and the stuff mahi-mahi with a crab stuffing was delicious the broccoli was fresh and they also have Delicious lemon pie

Southern Salt Seafood Co. was an outstanding dining experience and an easy 5 stars! The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in the quality of both their food and service.
The restaurant has a relaxed coastal atmosphere with a beautiful outdoor deck that's the perfect place to enjoy a meal and soak in the waterfront views. It's a great spot to unwind after a day on the water.
The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Between the delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and excellent service, it's easy to see why this place is so popular.
If you're visiting Morehead City—whether by boat or by car—Southern Salt Seafood Co. is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

Good food and fast friendly service. The views of the waterway are beautiful. You definitely receive a coastal feeling while eating there.

Excellent meal, good service, great location. We would eat here again if we return to the area.

Great waterfront view, nothing else! Fried oysters were soggy, fried shrimp as well as the shrimp cocktail were old and foul, not sure what the scallops were but was not good. The fries were the best thing out of a plate of seafood. Realize after the fact that I was charged extra for everything on the receipt versus price listed on menu, paid in cash so it wasn't a C.C. upcharge. It was a complete waste of hard earned money to dine here.

Water views, casual atmosphere and great vibes…it was the final day of The Big Rock Tournament and it was busy…like to shout out to one of the hardest working servers/bussers I’ve ever seen, Maddy R. - Food was fantastic! -we will definitely be back!

I have been coming to this location since the early 70s when it was Captain Bill's. Captain Bill's was okay, but this place has stepped it up- way up. Great food, service, and right on the water. Literally- you can dock your boat there while you eat. And they have Buffalo Trace! Highly recommend the stuffed shrimp apetizer.

The service was excellent!! Brie was so nice and professional. Food was delicious. We order the calamari as appetizer, clapchowder soup and the 3 seafood grill plater with bake potatoes cheese and bake on. 😋 we will be back!!
