I have gone here for the past 2 Monday's for their wing night. 1st Monday it took over an hour to get 20 wings. Other people got their wings before me. I asked to speak with the owner Dale and he said he was too busy to talk to a paying customer. He also said the food was cheap enough that he was not offering a discount. Tonight gave it another chance. Got there before the crowd and once again the kitchen could not get the order right. Who takes 30 minutes to grill onions. Then once again couldn't get my wings with the rest of the orders. The business model and attitude of the owner needs to be checked. Won't be long before this place goes out of business with all those going on. The wait staff is really good but should not have to keep make excuses for the kitchen's short comings. Will probably not go back again. Also, their food grade is a 91.

The buffet was extremely small, which would have been ok if the crab legs were good. Crab legs were extremely water sogged and couldn't get much meat out of them. I'm extremely disappointed.

When I have a bad experience in a restaurant I normally just shrug it off and never return. However, I can't ignore our absolutely horrible experience at this restaurant. We should have turned around and left the minute we walked in the door, but because the reviews were great and the website was so tastefully done, we decided to give it a chance. Our bad. My husband chose the Carolina Smokehouse fish buffet($30.00). The only potato was over cooked French fries. There were no jumbo shrimp, just small and calabash shrimp. Their fish was fried perch, flounder, and catfish. My husband could not eat the coleslaw or hush puppies (terrible). So basically for $30.00 he had a piece of flounder plus a $4.00 glass of tea. Myself and my sister chose the crab leg buffet ($44.00 each). This was before we got a good look at the buffet. The line was long around the buffet it took us ten minutes to see our choices. She and I had two sets of skinny legs. In fact the legs were so skinny there was barely any meat in them. To add insult to injury they did not offer crab forks. I asked. Jesus! Who offers crab legs without a crab fork? We tried using our table fork to no avail. What ended up happening, we threw the legs away with meat still in them. Our bill totaled $133.89 plus tip, which we had to do because our waitress was adorable (Tina). The total cost for our experience for three people, $157.99. Unless you have that kind of money throw away, or you just don't know good seafood buffets, I suggest you DO NOT choose this restaurant.

Absolutely worse service I’ve ever had in a very long time. Walked in and got an attitude from the hostess. Then ordered our food. After waiting a hour and half for our food, we find out the ticket got lost in the kitchen. I spoke to the lady in charge. She was rude and unprofessional. Anyways I’m not happy and will never go back.

Absolutely horrible service. Ordered two beer, wings came out, had to eat them without anything to drink. Had to reorder the beer, waitress only brought one. Asked 3 times for bbq sauce for the bbq sandwich I ordered, didn’t receive it either. Didn’t even eat the bbq sandwich because it was dry with no sauce Approximately 12-15 minutes before the waitress would come around and then she would remember after seeing we didn’t have the stuff we previously asked for. Manager came to talk to us and argued that she had filled all her beer orders, however, if she was telling the truth, that just showed how forgetful the waitress was. They asked if I wanted another sandwich after sitting for approximately 30-40 minutes after eating the wings. Didn’t want to wait on it 30 more minutes. Asked for the bill, took them another 10 minutes to bring it and then they tried to charge me for one beer we never received. They’re packing that place with deals on food but they don’t have a staff that can handle the amount of people. First time in almost 50 years I’ve left no tip and complained on a restaurant. I guess there’s a first for everything

This place wouldn't seat us as a party of 9. we got there at 5:30, and by 7:00 pm, they still hadn't seated us. The hostess would say, 10 minutes or so. Finally they said they just couldn't accommodate us. Absolutely appalling. Will never try this establishment again.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews for local businesses, but this was my last time at Carolina smoke. This place used to be really good when it was in the food truck, but it has gone way downhill. I called my food in at 7:20 and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I showed up at 7:50 to pick my food up and I had to wait around 10 minutes, but whatever they were kind of busy. Several minutes after I tell the take out waitress my name someone comes out to me and tells me that the kitchen made 2 out of the 3 items in my order wrong, but they were going to remake them. She hands me my box with the brisket sandwich in it and asks me to sit down. I end up sitting for a little over 30 minutes and she brings me my two other items. I’m a little irritated at this point cause my brisket sandwich is cold by this point, but whatever. I got out to my car and checked to be sure and my baked potato was wrong again. So I head back inside, and go through the whole thing again, this time with 2 entrees getting cold. About 15 minutes later I finally get my baked potato and head home, I’m pretty irritated but now and at this point it’s been an hour and 40 minutes since I placed my order. I get home and my baked potato is covered with so much nacho cheese it’s almost inedible, and everything else is stone cold. We’ve had quite a few bad experiences here, but this was the worst and it will definitely be the last.

I bought a gift certificate at Thanksgiving and was told I would be emailed a $10 gift certificate. I am not sure why it needed to be emailed and not added to the original one I purchased. I have never received the $10 after several phone calls to the restaurant. The owner also did not respond to a BBB complaint. Anyone else not receive their additional gift certificate?

1-4-25 It was fairly busy but not extreme on a Saturday evening, 12 people order, multiple different beverages. Tina our waitress was great. Positive attitude throughout our stay. Even socialized with us for a moment with ease. In that kind of atmosphere with a positive attitude is hard to do. The food tasted great and order was correct. Not sure what goes on in the kitchen area but great job. No one at our table complained about the food, not even the picky eater kids.

Tonight was the second time eating at this place. There was literally no food when we got there on the buffet. Our server did not tell us when we ordered the buffet. Food was brought out a couple of bowls at a time. From reading the recent reviews, this has been happening recently. No discount was offered either. Not worth $30.
