Monday, 29 September 2025. My wife and I visited your Morganton location and waited 15 minutes before pulling up to the order kiosk. Once we heard the attendant ask to hold on before taking our order. We waited another ten minutes before the attendant returned for our coffee ordered.
After pulling around the kiosk we waited behind 4 other vehicles for another 15 minutes before arriving at the pickup window to pay and receive our coffees.

Seems yo me the new or less experienced staff work the evening shift. While the more experience staff work the mornings.

The unfortunate part is long wait time has become the norm at the Starbucks location.

If there were other coffee chains open past 7 pm in the evenings we would take our business there. But, this is not the case in Morganton, NC.

I’m usually a big fan of Starbucks and enjoy visiting regularly, but this particular location continues to disappoint. The service here is consistently slow, and my drinks are rarely made correctly. Too often an ingredient is left out, which is frustrating when you’re spending $10 or more per visit.

One of my biggest concerns is that when they don’t have blonde espresso available, they don’t communicate that—they simply substitute with regular espresso, which completely changes the flavor. The espresso here often tastes burnt, and it makes it hard to enjoy a drink I normally love. For example, my go-to order is the Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso with seasonal cold foams, but at this store it rarely comes out as it should.

I completely understand that new employees need time to learn, but proper training is key. Customers expect consistency, and it feels like quality control is not a priority here. To make matters worse, calling the store is nearly impossible since no one ever seems to answer, which makes addressing concerns with management even more difficult.

This location really needs improvement in both service and training. Starbucks is a brand I genuinely enjoy, but this store makes it hard to remain loyal when the experience feels careless.

I hardly ever make review for places but I am very disappointed in Starbucks. I ordered an iced pumpkin latte and had it delivered. It looked good in the cup but when I tasted it it was bitter and no pumpkin taste. I spent $9 on a drink to go into the trash.

Felt really sorry for the folks working here today. There were only 3 people visible. One person was working drive thru amd making frappucinos. They were working really hard but things were taking a long time. Hopefully management will get straightened out here. This store seems to have a continuous struggle.
