About Hooters

Hooters is a popular restaurant chain known for its lively atmosphere and attentive service. The location is often bustling with activity, but customers still feel like they are part of a family. The wings and fried pickles are praised for their excellent taste, and the wings are often described as good and extra crispy. The bartenders are skilled at serving cold draft beers and non-watered cocktails. Some customers have reported issues with the boneless grilled buffalo wings, noting that they sometimes arrive without sauce, just grilled chicken nuggets, which can be disappointing. Additionally, the wings are generally decent-sized and reasonably priced, especially compared to other local options. The restaurant's appearance has been described as somewhat run-down and in need of a facelift, with some feeling that the experience hasn't changed much since the mid-90s, except for shorter shorts and a more tired vibe among staff and guests. Despite these concerns, many still find that getting their wings to go provides the best experience. Overall, Hooters offers a fun, kid-friendly dining experience with good quality wings and a lively atmosphere.

I've been in Hooters all over the country and I'm sorry to say I was a bit disappointed. The beer was warm. The food was very good but then the service was friendly but I felt ignored. I'm new to Durham and was looking for a familiar place. I wonder if it was a new keg why it wasn't chilled before serving. It was late afternoon and the bartender seemed to be busy prepping for the rest of her shift.
We visited this cozy place with enthusiasm on Sunday afternoon. The nice staff was polite, and we were satisfied with the service. The food, like in other parts of North Carolina, is too sweet for European eaters, and all the dishes have too many toppings, which we are not used to. However, this is not a shortcoming of the place, such are the habits of the locals. What surprised us a bit compared to other experiences in Caroline is the way of paying/receiving tips; here the waitress...read full review
