Excellent stop to enjoy good food and Andy Griffith memorabilia. The Mayberry Club was stacked full and very yummy. The chicken and dumplings were flavorful but I would have liked more chicken. The corn nuggets were on par and the green beans reminded me of my grandmother's. Friendly and fast service even during the peak of lunchtime.
Barney's Cafe in Mt Airy aka Mayberry had terrific and friendly service. I had the grilled cheese sandwich, which we ate a lot of growing up, paired with a root beer float which was a delicious treat, and rarely enjoyed as a kid. Price was reasonable. The ambiance was great too and the theme followed Mayberry's culture. There were some fun photos to see too and a large map that displayed where visitors came from to visit this fun town
Walking in Barney's Cafe created this sweet nostalgia as a kid who grew up watching the Andy Griffith show. The café truly takes one back in time and I absolutely love it. The service was WONDERFUL!!! Our waitress was so sweet and even called me sweetheart 💕... And sweetheart was a common greeting during that time period. The food was average, but I appreciated the sizeable portions, and the reasonable prices.
