“As an employee of the restaurant, I would like to inform you that the comments made by the concerned Mrs. S..... !!We are in 2024 and it is obvious that whatever happens around us we upload it to the internet making everything tragic!! This lady came and applied as a server and hosts.. she started working as a hostess for 2 weeks until one night the manager offered her to work in another position “since her application was for waitress and hostess”she refused without even trying!the same evening the Owner spoke to her in front of the manager and another employeeHe told her:I don't want to put you to work as a waitress since you don't want to but at least do the training just in case of emergency waitress calls out to know how to serve! She categorically refused.. The owner told her that he didn’t want to pay two employees for the same job,so they can alternately work as hosts and as waiters the other girl was ok with it…obviously she refused and she said it was fine as hosts!!The owner thanked her profusely and told her he wouldn't need her anymore!She cursed as she left from the restaurantA few hours later, her mother called “to note that the lady was 35 years old”, complaining that the owner and the manager treated her daughter badlyThe next day her husband came to collect the check shouting and cursing inside the restaurant forcing the owner to call the police!!!Posted bad reviews about the restaurant actually me and the rest of the restaurant staff just laughed when we saw it because we know that our customers have known the restaurant for many years and they are very happy that our rating is 100 and 99.5 and we as employees are very proud of it!!Αnd besides if I'm not wrong ,Hostess position is at the front of the restaurant, I get impressed that she knows in detail what was going on back in the kitchen?I would also like to say that she is insulting herself by saying she used the towels we used for the floor to wipe the tables!!!we as waitresses had no way of doing that!!I wanted to place correctly and fairly as an employee of the restaurant because these comments are an insult to the restaurant!!“

“Fabulous!! Atmosphere, service and food.. ah! All excellent!! Can't wait to invite guests. We got the chicken dish in pottery. It's a one-time use pottery w the meal inside! Presented w pyrotechnics, pottery top is cracked off by tapping w a knife, then food is poured onto a cute footed metal platter. Loved it so much!!“

“I’ve had many subs before but this steak and cheese sandwich with the fries took the cake. Everything is made to order to ensure that your whole order is beyond hot and fresh. If ever on lunch and in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed.“

“I'm a sucker for a good Greek restaurant/bakery so I had to stop in here. I ordered a ham and cheese pie, kokakia, and a cappuccino. The pie was flakey and the subtle sweetness from the powdered sugar paired well with the saltiness of the cheese and ham. The kokakia was a tasty little treat and the cappuccino hit the spot. Good atmosphere and super respectful service. I would happily come back here!“

Maybe it was the time we went, but the dining area was empty, despite appearing very inviting and comfortable (which it was both).“

“Showmars is a reliable and familiar place to get some decent chow. I remember going there as a kid. So it's a familiar, nice experience. Consistent, fresher than most, affordable, good variety, good customer service, clean stores, good sanitation rating, excellent reputation/longevity. Gotta support those local boys (& girls)!“

“Wife and I discovered this place by accident. We’re European and have both traveled extensively through the Greek isles. We were astounded to find such incredible Greek cuisine in Belmont, NC of all places. We especially recommend the octopus. The food is not “cheap” but absolutely worth it.“

“This was my first time eating here. I got the tenderloin platter which was delicious. With a drink it was about $13. The seating capacity was less than I expected. Probably seating for about 20 people tops. You order at the counter/cash register and sit till your order is brought to you. I will return.“
