Captain Andy's

Me and my best friend spend a week in OBX every October for a week to ride bikes, sight-see and eat great seafood. We have done this for over a decade now. We've eaten at Andy's before and decided to try it again on our last day this year. A fellow about 55 waited on us. He was not much to look at (but neither are we) but he was one hell of a great waiter. He had an awesome personality and our service & food was great. We will definitely be shuffling our "favorite restaurants" list next year as Captain Andy's is now high on our list.

Visited for the first time today at let me tell you I was very disappointed! First we needed a seat for 4 adults and 1 child(2 y/o) we were sat at a table in the middle of the room without any high chairs like I’d requested. This is not a kid friendly restaurant by any means as the only menu item they offer for kids is a $20 adult sized chicken and fries meal and the only kid side they have is apple sauce for a whopping $4 and change. The curb appeal definitely matches the food and service needs to stay hidden away from the public. Will not be returning a waste of $30 for one meal and a sad side salad!

Not my pick of food and service. Order shrimp, was dirty and not season well. Did not eat it. Went to Awful Arthur's. For better food and drinks.

Was seated inside, all fans going the wrong way for cooling. Small table, asked to be moved outside, way cooler. Order the 1/2 pound of shrimp. Was not good at all !! Looks ,tastes, etc...Did not eat it.. Ended up going to get real seafood, and shrimp at awful arthur's.

First time going to Captain Andy's, after reading some of the reviews we were skeptical. But we wanted to check it out ourselves. We were glad we did! We ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks, the bartender was not sure if we would like it because they are usually served frozen, so the waitress brought us a "tester" from the bartender! It was delicious. The effort that he made was very thoughtful. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was really good. The atmosphere did not disappoint. Glad we didn't listen to any of the bad reviews!

The view was nice, chairs were comfy. Drinks were pricy but not tasty. The food was bland and the presentation was not good at all. Seemed like they had a nice location, but absolutely no experience running a restaurant.

Excellent! Drinks, food, and service are great!! Who doesn't like food and drinks by the sea?!
