Tasty food prepared quickly. The noodles were the hit, shrimps clams all have the same coating a bit hard and overseasoned. Poke was fine, should be served in a bowl too hard to get both rice and tuna at the same time. Coleslaw was awesome.

We had great experience with Greentails. Our food was done fast and it was delicious and fresh. 5/5 would go back when we're down the coast next.

We got the swordfish special and grouper sandwich special. Everything was fantastic, the sides were phenomenal, fish was fresh… very affordable. Glad we found this place!

I felt like there's not much choice s in their menu. It's pricey compared to other seafood places. Nonetheless, there were so many people lining up on a Saturday lunch time in Outer banks. The service is ok and the ambiance is casual. They have tables outside for you to enjoy your food with your family and friends.

I'd heard great things about Greentail's from friends, and then read a great writeup about this spot in a recent issue of Our State. So, yesterday I headed to Greentail's with a friend who also enjoys checking out a new place for lunch! We loved it. The Coconut Curry Fish Soup with Dumplings was really, really tasty and I also enjoyed my Shrimp Tacos with Collards. I brought home a meal for my husband - Fried Shrimp with Coleslaw and Collards, and my friend like their Fried Fish Tacos. Portions are generous, especially sides which is rare for area restaurants. Thank you Greentail's! Greentail's is a friendly spot and the three owners are present, visible and running everything. It was fun to talk with them about the menu and they make delicious, creative food. It's nice to see not only Outer Banks Specialties but an Asian and Hawaiian influence as well. Greentail's offers fresh fish as well as prepared meals, and the spot was crowded. There's indoor and outdoor seating and the atmosphere is casual. The food is serious though - great taste, seasoning and creativity for sure. I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Best fish tacos on the Outerbanks and some of the best I've eaten anywhere. Highly recommend stopping at this local joint for some delicious food and fresh seafood.

Ate here 3 times during our week long stay in Kill Devil Hills. Was the best food we had during our entire trip. It makes more sense to buy cooked seafood here that tastes great, great value and fast-n-friendly service versus going to a restaurant and dealing with long lines and feeling like you got ripped offThe steamed shrimp is great, the banh mi's and api boys are great

The naan sandwich was so good! I just love their poke and so many good options they have. One of the many reasons I would return here. Nice staff too

A must try if you’re in the area! The food is fresh and comes out quickly. I had the fried tuna bites with the Hawaiian macaroni salad (no it does not have pineapple) as a side. It came with rice and a soy dipping sauce. The batter for the tuna bites was so flavorful. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since! My husband got the catch of the day (flounder) with potatoes and the macaroni salad. He really enjoyed it. All of the specials sounded delicious and I’m sorry I didn’t get to try them all. They also offer a variety of fresh seafood you can order to go. I wish we’d been able to take advantage of that!

Great hospitality and the food is amazing. More specifically the fish tacos! Stopped in here multiple times for lunch during my vacation and wasn’t disappointed. My girlfriend recommends the poke bowl if you’re into raw seafood!

Went to pinch with a party of six for lunch. My daughter wanted a fried shrimp basket.Daughter had the fried shrimp basket with collards. One went with the tuna sandwich. I went with the Cinco De Mayo special. One went with a Po Boy and the other went with the fried fish off the day, which was flounder.I enjoyed the shrimp cinco de Mayo special. Nice plans of flavors served to with the shrimp; guacamole, citrus, red onions, etc. Daughter enjoyed her fried shrimp and the collards were OK. Macaroni salad wasn't bad. Fried flounder was good. Tuna sandwich was good.Would I come back? Honestly, this would not be my first choice. There are other local options I prefer. Would I recommend this place to family and friends? Based on individual feedbacks after this visit. this wouldn't be my first recommendation. I wouldn't say "No" to coming here, but I would not offer it up as my first recommendation.

Great lunch stop! Very small and limited indoor seating but fresh and delicious seafood! Seemed to be a local favorite. Staff were kind and informative.
