We decided to try a new BBQ place, just to expand our choices. We made a great choice with Sooey's. We got ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken with mac and cheese sides and a cole slaw. Ribs were seasoned well, on a sweet/salt side for a flavor profile, pulled right off the bone. Brisket was tender and juicy. Pulled pork was good with their Carolina sauce already in it. Simple BBQ is good BBQ. Ribs and brisket were very tender. Chicken was flavorful and rich. Good hush puppies too. Service was excellent. Our server checked on us often and was very nice. We left full and happy.
What a great place to stop on our road trip! Traditional NC BBQ. We really enjoyed this one. Brisket was the favourite, then ribs, pulled pork and chicken. Great food, great service, easy to get to with parking. Thank you 🙏
